I love page 12 with Nightcrawler getting operational. Will he become the fly in Magneto's ointment?

The shadow effect under Kurt in the down shot panel (shiny floor surface) is just lovely. These are the things I gawk at in your work. And your hatching technique is so...unobtrusive. Weird description? Possibly. But many artists “hatch” to the point that its all you see. But your hatch rendering is JUST enough to convey shapes, light and shadow and the needed details to flesh out the scene as opposed to hatching as “TECHNIQUE” or “STYLE”.
I’ve been studying you for 40 freaking years....and page after page of Elsewhen has me still learning and in awe.
Hats off.

JB: I think a lot of you are going to be pleased with tomorrow's page, too, even tho it's still away from Storm, Angel and Iceman. . . . .
***********
Mr. Byrne, you ain't never lied. Two thumbs waaay up.
You sometimes seem to downplay your contributions when contrasting your style against other artists, but please take it from lifelong consumers of the media: your renditions of Nightcrawler surpass even those of the late, great Dave Cockrum.
That's not fanboy gush, it's just calling a duck a duck.

I know Nightcrawler is Cockrum's creation, but I've always preferred JB's rendering of him. This is a page that supports that preference.
Fourth panel. Awesome.

I'll say this, it was a pleasure to get Kurt's gloves and "boots" back on! As I have mentioned before, his bare hands and feet just creep me out!!

I also prefer JB's Nightcrawler. More lithe than Mr. Cockrum's original.

JB,
No draws Nightcrawler like you!!! Loving this page.
But as to his powers, this is something that has bugged me about the character for decades. I still don't quite get the "invisible in the shadows/dark" deal.
He can scale walls, very agile (on par with the Beast?), and can teleport.
If it's dark, no one would probably see him in the first place.
