I hope JB does decide to make a few updates to Storm's costume (and to Nightcrawler's as well).

I enjoyed the detail of the small scrapes and nicks on Storm's face, arms and legs from the ice. Things like this MATTER but are so often overlooked it seems.

An interesting TRIO. =) I'm looking forward to how these heroes work together. I can see some great synergy between Storm and Iceman.

Me: I especially liked Bobby calling dibs on Magneto. How is the Master of Magnetism going to block supercold temperatures and non-ferrous ice balls?••• Harkens back to something I’ve ofttimes said about Green Lantern. SCENE: BAD GUY: Ha ha Green Lantern! My yellow armor renders you powerless against me! GL: Oh no! Whatever shall I do!? Hang on for a moment while I drop Mount Rushmore on your head! The direct approach is not always the best! *** :-D Love it!

I've started talking about these comics to other people like it's a TV show (without thinking about it) -- "How's it going, Mark?" "Good. There's amazing stuff happening in the X-Men."

Storm's costume fix is quite artistic I think.
There's a stage play titled 'Noises Off' that seems quite popular;, well titled as it's about people working at putting on a play so that you get on-stage and behind the scenes combined. It seemed to always be running somewhere.

That was a strange period. Marvel, right before Bill Jemas and Joe Quesada took the reins was getting very conservative. A character from Marvel UK was renamed "Dark Angel" from "Hell's Angel," and an X-Men story was retitled "Death Train" from "Hell Train", and there were changes to Satana's hip-huggers to make them more family-friendly in the Marvel monster series "Supernatural" that was produced by the Chaos Comics talent. Then, Jemas and Quesda were placed in charge, and the pendulum swung the other way, with girly "cheesecake" covers, and Jemas proudly proclaiming Marvel publishing such covers and his book "Marville" for the adult fans living in their parents basements.

Love that new Storm costume. Wouldn't mind it did remain permanent.

Digression: I rarely venture to look at new Marvel anything from after around 2001-02. There were more hits than misses for a couple of years up to then after a really bad few years during the extreme/dark era. I just got the first three Fantastic Four Unlimited with sad sad sad Herb Trimpe trying to be Rob Liefled circa 1993. No wonder the seller was giving them away at half caver price. So 1993-1996 is another dead zone to me (outside of those Amalgam one-shots anyway, and some of them have that yucky trendy extreme super-shiny art style). Trimpe had been doing some really nice comics just before those FF Unlimiteds; I like the Thor and Iron Man he did still looking like his old self! Sal B. was doing some classic Spider-Man then too. Seriously... just want to recycle box these three Unlimited abominations alongside a Black Cat mini series with similar yucko artstyle I was foolish to have tried.
Elsewhen feels timeless; solid, a classic superhero team comics... Marvel has been best when they've had a few series like this instead of chasing fanzine headlines and speculators buying cases of an issue (if not the swimsuit magazine crowd). Really bad Marvel is like hell. :^)

That last panel is such a refreshing sight - heroes being heroes.
