Loving the Champions continuity nod! Is it okay if I 'see' M-Man Angel with the evil red outfit and X-Man Angel with the dark blue?--------------------------------------------------------
That's funny, I'm "seeing" it opposite.
I figured Alt-Magneto would've still given Warren the same blue uniform he did in "our" world and that our Warren would still be in his 'Champions" red one.
Not that it really matters...eye of the beholder and all that.
What I really want to know is if Alt-Jean is in "I'm a bad guy so I'm wearing red" or in the green that "our" Jean prefers?

The best X-Men vs Magneto fight of all time (up to this point) was when they beat him up nice & good underneath the volcano in his Antarctic base. Storm successfully employed that de-humidifying tactic against Magneto himself, causing him to sweat like a pig & throwing his game plan all out of whack.
Someone here recently suggested that 'our' X-Men are obliged to be more skillful than the alt X-Men, and we're seeing prime examples of this theory play out in real time.

One thing that really stands out is the difference in tactics between the "X" and "M" teams. The "M" team's way of dealing with things is a bash and barge, take people by surprise and don't allow them to react approach. While the "X" team are trained to react to and deal with situations as they present themselves. The "M" team don't seem to cope so well in situations that they are unprepared for.

Totally agree. The "M" squad are bullies who don't plan ahead. Our "X" friends are so much more flexible.

Yup- drawbacks of a blitzkrieg approach include:- it relies on surprise, which can only work once - it relies on overwhelming force, which is a problem if your enemy has basically an equivalent force with similar (or greater) experience and - it assumes your enemy won't be able to recover once defeated (which for the M-gang is probably a safe assumption as they seem to kill their defeated opponents)
Right now, that approach isn't going entirely their way. And the lack of telepaths on the M side is likely to be a real problem.

Funny, always saw Angel as the least useful of the X-Men with 'just' flight as a power and limited due to the wings (others fly without wings). But this story is making him much more interesting than the past 40 years of comics have. Shows what a good writer can do - change a character you find 'meh' at best into interesting without changing everything about them (IE: his wings being torn off and replaced by metal ones). Just waiting for the 'real' Beast to get into the mix now and hopefully Alex & Lorna.
This is fun with the Angel and Iceman charging into battle. Not a fan of the new Storm half costume (using what was left of the fabric). Has she been shown to change/fix outfits before in that way?

And here's a crazy idea: why don't you wait to see what's going to happen with this outfit before racing to declare yourself "not a fan"? Nothing in this scene suggests this change is permanent.

I think Storm looks cool! It's minimalist, but not boring. Let's see how things develop.

It hit me on the re-read that in the panel where Bobby recognizes his double, we see both their faces from the same angle. Even though one is iced up, they're so clearly the same guy. That was neat.
