Speaking of Mr. Worthington...
I recall that in the FF issue where Skrulls had taken on the appearance of X-Men, Johnny Storm made a comment about Angel being tough.
- Am I remembering that right?
- Does Warren possess tougher skin and enhanced strength that are extensions of his ability to fly?
- If not, would the opposite be true? Are his bones lighter than those of a man his same age, height and musculature?

Warren would have to be pretty well “armored”, or the basic problem with flying powers would kick in—he wouldn’t be able to fly very high or very fast. In one issue of the Thomas/Adams run (tho it might have been the one penciled by Don Heck...?) Angel actually beat a commercial jetliner across the Atlantic. Tho that feat has not been referenced much since! Kinda like Bobby’s “invisibility”.

I hope Angel gets to keep that Sword....i thought over the years some type of wrist bands that shoots whatever would be a great addition. JB knocked it out of the park with that sword . Such a great power enhancement.

OHOTMU maintained Angel had hollow bones like a bird. While there was a tendency with OHOTMU to explain too much, this does make sense that he would weigh less than a normal person. I think it's not unreasonable to think he has minor adaptions that all help with flying. Eyes that are less susceptible to wind, perhaps a slightly higher tolerance to cold, that sort of thing.
Curious thing with today's page: my eyes skipped the first panel the first time around. I went straight to the panel with Angel saying 'We arrived to find..' and only saw the first panel on second viewing -- thinking about it, I'm fairly sure that was purely to do with digesting it on the web and I scrolled down too far.
Looking forward to seeing how Storm chooses to tackle alt-Bobby.

Quick question from my curious mind:
Who (you or Chris) had the idea to have Angel join the team after #138?

Since I have mentioned that I like to use well detailed toys as my vehicle reference, it occurs to me some of you might enjoy seeing the little parking lot that has accumulated to the left of my drawingboard. The two sporty models in the front row are the most recent additions--picked up from CVS, no less!Sharp eyes will note there is an off-scale UPS truck, a city bus, a Winnebago, a Humvee, a garbage truck and a cement mixer in among the cars and SUVs. The hand is a medical model I picked up a few years ago. The top opens, and there are bones, muscles and blood vessels inside. It's life-sized. The XO tin is actually OXO, a British beef drink, and that container has been in my family for about 75 years. Inside is a piece of shrapnel from a German bomb, picked up by Dad's Dad in the back garden!

That hand seems to have a familiar pose!

Doubtless I have drawn that pose many times, tho oddly enough I have not used that hand for reference.

I am one of those people who appreciates that pic, Mr. Byrne.
Really nice collection of various scale model vehicles.
Except for that pesky McLaren P1 (BOOOO!) 😂
That’s the Ferrari fan in me talking. 🐎
I would imagine your wonderful collection of scale model airplanes serves a similar purpose. I knew you were an aviation fan when I saw your rendition of the X-Men’s Blackbird.
And clearly Dave Cockrum knew his stuff. His drawing of that Harrier (the one that Thunderbird died trying to down) in GSXM1 really caught my eye as a kid.
