A JB first page often includes a title that’s very well thought-out ... with nuances one doesn’t or can’t appreciate until later in the tale!

One of the oft user 'comments' about ELSEWHEN has been that JB has told, not show, something that happens.
I don't agree with this, but I can imagine a few comments along the lines of people wanting to have seen the taking out of the FF and Avengers.
But that's not the story. And covering those aspects would be a waste of time. However, I am REALLY interested in Wanda's face on that splash page. She still is not the happy camper (and think just how cruel Magneto has been to have pushed her on Scott, only to have her dumped when Jean turned up).

And covering those aspects would be a waste of time. •• Exactly. Over the years I have been sometimes disappointed by readers who want or need to have every moment spelled out for them. Even as far back as my original run on UNCANNY there were some who grumbled that they were not shown the where/why/how of Wolverine changing his costume to the brown version. I thought his "Why not?" answer covered everything! If nothing else, the imaginary WHAT IF? cover that inspired this story sets up what's going to happen. All those artifacts scattered in the rubble beneath the bad guys. And previous experience has taught me, if I HAD chosen to show the various battles, there would have been plenty of complaints that "WE ALREADY KNOW THIS! Get on with the story!"

Can we assume the two "lost" members were Mastermind and Toad?
And is it possible they were killed off because of their lack of costume style?

Honestly, the idea of Magneto being *bored* after defeating pretty much *everybody* is way more scary and compelling than watching it happen.
He's killed the Avengers and the FF and now he's annoyed that there's nobody left to fight. That's interesting.

I love that ! Just reminds us how many (every ?) Time our heroes were one inch far for defeat/death ! Remembering Emperor Doom, where Doom wins it totally (finally ;) ! But not for long...kinda likewise Doom stealing the Beyonder's powers. Easy win ? Why not kindly look towards another earth where your alterego meet less success / always loses ?

Looks like Scott is attracted to Jean is more than one reality... I agree, that's one interesting look on Wanda's face...

I continue to be impressed by your ability to show faces on TV screens as 'flat' . Most lesser artists would likely miss that small detail. Do you have a certain 'trick' for pulling that off?

Screens are drawn following the perspective grid I’ve laid down for the panel. Anything on those screens is drawn following two of the three grid lines, height and width but not depth. Faces are treated more or less as if they were cardboard cutouts.

Why? Why could not be the Blob and Mystique? Or Alex and Lorna?
We know they're dead, my friend. Dead characters aren't very interesting. But I'd not assume anything, save that if we need to know... Mr. Byrne will let us know!
