Wonderful to see Angel (of sorts) interacting with the "new" X-men. It was always such a treat when the original team makes an appearance---same today as it was back then.
Was it just me, or did the team-change add a semi-tragic depth to the book---one that was not overplayed, but still used to good effect? Ancient lore, ending of youthful games, and all that.
Also, from yesterday's page, I want to point out how striking the small silhouette of Kurt climbing the skyscraper is---with the slight vertical lean. What a wonderful composition!
I can imagine in my mind's eye a beautiful JB commissioned-work with Nightcrawler silhouetted against a city-scape at night---a treat to the eye and firmly entrenching that he does not become invisible in shadows. :)
Lastly, I clearly have ELSEWHEN-21 in my bloodstream because I awoke last night, thinking "Kurt's superhero moniker is named after an earthworm!?!"---something that had escaped my attention for 40 years.

A respectful FYI, sir... Jason and I each purposely withheld the name of the character we think appears in the final panel of today's page so as not to ruin the surprise in case we turn out to be right. (Plus, it's just not nice to offer any speculation that's too specific.)___ Sorry, just a tad excited to see subplots coming together.

This shot makes us remember phasing or teleporting ability do not selfreact automatically as a safety measure, surprise and/or too slow reactions can have them hit or...cut. Likewise speed guys like Flash or Quicksilver....fast but not their reflexes or breaks.

Yikes. Poor Kurt.
Great reveal. It's Angel, but not Angel. And the guy with the least scary power is extremely dangerous having been under Magneto's tutelage.

Yup. I figured it was Angel.
I echo Jeffrey’s sentiment. It’s good to see the plots converging.

There was a Flash issue where Wally "felt" heat on his neck and immediately jumped into a crazy speed mode to avoid a bullet. If this were always the case, only a faster speedster could touch him.
