I think this is Iceman's first ELSEWHEN appearance? You may be right! I checked, and he didn't make a cameo appearance in the big Sentinel battle, so he's not likely to have been anywhere else.

That's a vicious way for Iceman to use his powers.
These Mutants/Evil X-Men prove how super heroes are and should be careful to restrain themselves.
I can't wait to know how Jean chose to follow willingly Magneto with what what we know about her recruitement!

That top panel on page 19 is another iconic image of Storm. Elsewhen is benefiting from years of JB's experience with fabric. While certain liberties have been taken with Storm's cape not one seems to defy logic or look bad. There just aren't any bad Storm pages in Elsewhen.
Looking forward to seeing what JB's "uh oh" might mean.

JB, from your perspective, does Iceman literally turn to ice, or is his body covered in ice? Or, of course, something else?

Storm vs Iceman - interesting. One might think her powers would indeed work against ice and cold... but obviously that's not the case. It makes one wonder about her powers. She can make it rain or snow, or even an ice storm (which, while I think I can remember, I cannot cite references for.)
Iceman really can do some of the same. There is no question that he was the most multi-powered of the original X-Men. Somehow though, he always seemed the goofy kid (which, okay, he was), and thus not quite so interesting - at least to me. I think Stan and Roy might have missed a lot of potential in those early X-Men.
That last panel reminds me of Generations #2, where the Joker hit Batman with razors, and the psychedelic pies etc. Looks like the same sort of attack... and I've NO doubt it could be just as deadly.
M-Men - just great! I'm enjoying the hell out of this, Mr. Byrne!

There is no question that [Iceman] was the most multi-powered of the original X-Men. Id question that. He had/has the power to make ice, and hes shown himself to be very innovative in his use of that power. But its still just ONE power.

I hate when people draw him as clear or translucent. I prefer when he looks like an ice-coated mountain or rock, like in this page. His shards actually look properly ICY and jagged here.

A few million years ago there was an ill-considered moment in which Bobby demonstrated an ability to render his icy form nearly as transparent as glass. Going forward it was pretty much ignored, tho there are some writers and artists who for unknown reasons feel the need to revisit it.
