Go back to Magneto, you cad!

Another quality drawing of Gladiator. I'm hoping we get to see Jahf hit him... Go on, Jahf, just a little.

Today's page instantly reminded me of the "Guardian vs. Omega Flight" page in AF #12.  Very similar angle used but with the protagonists reversed

Loved it!!

What is Jahf, anyway? I seem to recall that he's a creation of the M'Krann crystal, but other than that, I got nothing.

When I created Modt and Jahf it was my intent that the big guy be a robot of some kind, and the little guy biological. Chris, without checking with me, decided to make Jahf a robot, too.*

My original intent prevails here.

* Example 134 of Chris writing something other than how I intended. Collect them all!

Mr. Byrne, my crappy memory tells me it was from Comics Interview #57, the Summer Special. LOVELY X-Men cover, hilarious X-Men pastiche at the start of the interview, and the comment (again, relying on my crappy rememberer) is on a page showing a black and white replication of the last panel shot of Wolverine rising from the sewers from X-Men #133.

Here's that panel:

Couple of questions Mr. Byrne...

How DO you keep all that art in your head? That pose of Gladiator is as class as ANYTHING I have ever seen you draw!

Very obviously, you like some I.G. members more than others - and there were like 24 of them initially? I rather quite enjoyed the new ones you created. Any particular faves for you? Gladiator seems to be one, but that's kinda obvious. Myself, I quite enjoyed B'nee and C'cll - but I got the joke. What do you think?

Modt said that if HE were defeated, a guardian 1000 times more powerful than he would appear to defend the crystal. Does the M'Krann crystal actually contain what must surely be a Galactus-level guardian? Or was he lying?

Five X-Men against the remaining I.G. and surviving D'Bari... yes, I could see that they need assistance really soon! I mean, at least Nightcrawler, Banshee, Havok, and Polaris, maybe. It's not very safe to be an X-Man, now especially - but then, when has it been?

SO good to read! Thanks!

I give about as much consideration to the Guard as I do the Legion—as little as possible. So I have no preferences among them.

I like the black frame on the panels to indicate "this is the alternate universe."  It's simple, but effective notice to the reader so things aren't confusing.

This just keeps getting better and better.....

You can almost feel Gladiator holding back the force of Cyclops' beam.

The quality of the artwork and writing seems to be gaining as much momentum as the stories themselves evolve.

Brilliant!!!  Thank you Mr Byrne!
