I must admit I am surprised to see Lilandra resurrected like that. Such things are frequent in comic books - and not out of place if done quickly, but I had gotten the impression that JB intended to purge some of the more Claremontian elements from the book. And I guess he still has since the relationship between Charles and Lilandra is now most likely broken up. But keeping Lilandra alive is certainly a strong statement of putting the toys back in the box so a theoretical another title in the Marvel Elsewhen universe could use it.
Or maybe I'm just reading too much into this! It's happened before.

While I wasn't buying comics when the second series was published, I did buy the original series of She-Hulk as it came out for awhile, I don't see how she wasn't as much a female fantasy as anything created to interest men! Having her resolve that she genuinely enjoyed being in hulk form would make her even more of a power fantasy I would think. Is having a male character looking buff or handsome on a cover exploitative? I'm thinking the green beachball cover probably must've come out around the time that magazine cover with a famous actress pregnant was in the news? Compared to all those pointless broken-spined helium-boobed things on other comic covers in the past, I can't see why anyone would worry about a big strong green She-Hulk being sexy.
Well, back to Elsewhen: about the only possible 'use' I can come up with for Colossus keeping a damaged leg would be as something for a Magneto to exploit, but short of that it didn't seem to have served any great purpose up to now. However, when he was diving in Jamaica Bay didn't it cause him problems he might not have otherwise had? I'm not sure, might be a shame to lose that scene with Kitty worried about him.

It seems like the writer doesn't really like comics much and is predisposed to dislike especially comics that feature characters as heroically proportioned as She-Hulk so that her opinion is already made up and she's looking for panels of art to confirm her bias.
I have a good friend who is an executive at a web radio company. She's a genuine feminist--and she loves She-Hulk. Is she wrong for finding Jen empowered and self-reliant? I don't think so at all.

JB: And you know the old saying, "you always hurt the one you love..."
***
...so you must love some of your characters a LOT! :-D Just kidding. I look forward to seeing what comes next with Kitty, thinking it's not very likely you'll leave her in a bad situation indefinitely. Though getting her back to normal may take some doing...

I was thinking JB would put Ororo through the grinder in this run. Not much bad ever happens to her.

I re-read these issues. Ok The IG's mission was to rescue Lilandra...But they're leaving Astra behind, buried and entangled with Kitty ?

Regarding Ororo, please for the love of all that's holy don't go down the mohawk 'punk' path. That Claremont storyline should've seen him 'impeached' from comics forever ;-)
