I like the walking away panel as it reminded me of that splash of them together for the start of the unpublished #138! A sort of picking up where they left off.
Also, I thought the Guard leaving was particularly Legion-esque = flying in a tight stiff formation.

RM: "I must say, a lot of the criticisms and expressions of "confusion" that I've seen about Elsewhen seem to stem from people just not paying attention."_______________________________
I have my own theory that, at least some of this, goes back to the day-a-page format. For me at least, reading the entire issue in one go helps to cement some of the details in my mind. Back when I collected, I know I would reread most comics at least once, if not multiple times, before the next week's haul. I highly suggest going back and rereading the whole story at the end of the month.

I just love that last panel of Scott and Jean walking away through the trees! JB did you use a reference picture for that?•• Just looking out my Studio windows!

The last page is awesome! So funny! Based on the set-up, I thought you were going to break our hearts with the hard luck team of all hard luck teams. And instead we get the return of Marvel Universe John Byrne!
I would like to point out that Marvel Universe John Byrne died at the end of SENSATIONAL SHE-HULK issue #50, showing that nobody stays dead in X- MEN: ELSEWHEN!

Hemingway: "The only kind of writing is re-writing." Capote: "Good writing is re-writing."
Kudos for finding a clever way of doing what you felt needed to be done.

This issue was so much fun!
This is so much. Superheroes in misunderstandings and straight-forward knock-about and just plain fun is what I love in comics-- this feels so much more like a "real" series than I dreamed it could.
The "meta" page only makes this feel more real. It's like a Bullpen Bulletin.
This series is unforgettable. Thanks again and again!

What made you decide to go this route with Peter’s leg rather than, say, a simple “it got better” solution? And please don’t think this is a criticism. I love it. Just curious, is all.

I felt the subplot had dragged on too long for “I got better”.
