As I scripted this scene, I had to push back on all the sexual overtones I was sure Chris would have worked into it!

This might be an instance where Oracle should have picked the Professor -I have a bad feeling about this... Unless Jean tells Oracle "no" :-o (nah, Jean's way to heroic for that...)

ITEM: Will Jean be forever dragged into situations not of her making or choosing? It seems that she's been manipulated quite a considerable amount... and here we go again. Sooner or later, I think she's gonna start getting upset.
ITEM: Thank the stars that you're avoiding any sexual overtones. There's no place for them, I feel, in a comic story unless they're a main theme. Chris went WAY overboard with that!
ITEM: Maybe I'm built weird (well, we KNOW that, but...) In X-Men 140, when the caption says that Kate impulsively kisses Kitty... was I the only one who thought that meant on the cheek?

In X-Men 140, when the caption says that Kate impulsively kisses Kitty... was I the only one who thought that meant on the cheek?•• Given no visual cues, anything is possible. But since the "moment" became known in the Office, immediately, as "the incestuous lesbian kiss"........... Factor in Chris' female characters tending to lean heavily to bisexual, at the least, and the assumption seemed automatic.

I the only one who thought that meant on the cheek?-------------------------------------------------------- I saw it that way too.
"Suddenly she comes face to face with herself as a child -- so innocent, so vulnerable, so young. Impulsively, she gives herself a kiss... ... and lets the winds of eternity sweep her home."
As I've said before, I don't see anything sexual there. I see it as a poetic portrayal of nostalgia for her own youth.

Oracle might be playing with fire.
My only reaction to the 'Kate' leaving Kitty scene way back was that I wouldn't've done that. Just seemed something a guy would think was cute. Do any of us think our early teens self 'cute'?
Also I wondered, well, where the heck does 'Kate' go to then after this psychic kiss business?
