Great fun having Gladiator display his range of party tricks. Must be a great relief having him on your side rather than fighting against him!
This development with Kitty is a sharp left into unexpected territory.

I also thought of the spinning Superman scene when I saw the last panel with Gladiator.

Gladiator should have flipped upside-down.
His mohawk looks like the perfect drill-bit/router!
I for one did not expect this Kitty happenstance.
Also, JB, I love you using the word "magilla" in the comments. Takes me back. Even my spell checker doesn't remember it! :)

Gosh, I really like that second to last panel of the professor's face as he uses his power. The tried and true pose with the hands up at his temples isn't even needed here...
Still not liking that Gladiator punk, but it's ok to not care for the villain. I was hoping to see someone take him down a peg though... Maybe we'll get a flashback of dark phoenix smacking him around at some point... :-)

I've liked Gladiator since his FANTASTIC FOUR appearance.
I can still feel the fear those Skrulls experienced as he pursued them through space.

Understood, but it felt like he was responsible for the X-men's loss to the IG on the Moon---it's hard to forgive him for that one.
They can all be friends after the X-men wipe the floor with him and his team. :)

Yes, another good page. but geez - why was I so sure Wanda was a redhead? Price of reading B&W pages here and watching B&W episodes of WandaVision I guess - my mind played tricks and changed it somehow (looking at old issues sometimes the colors bled from the costume to the hair - yeah, that is it, there is my excuse). Should be interesting to see where this merger of 2 phasing people goes. Can't recall anyone doing that before strangely enough - with all the characters who do it you'd think it was done by now but cannot recall offhand (now someone will point out 1001 cases I'm sure). I can think of phasers going into other peoples bodies (never a good idea as logically it should blow them up or create an ugly mess if phasing stops - two objects same space) but never battling each other.
As to Gladiator - he is probably the biggest hero in his empire. Of course, for Earthlings that could make him an enemy. Much like how Benedict Arnold would be viewed as a patriot to England but a traitor to the USA, vice versa for those who signed the declaration of independence. Heroes and villains often depend on which side you are on.

Wanda's hair keeps changing over the years. One time, apparently jet black, another brunette, another time it appears auburn. From the mid 1960s to the early 1970s, it seemed she was mostly color as if her hair was black in the original publications from that era. Later reprints recolor her hair to appear more consistent with the look everyone expects.

Eep! Bracing for what condition Kitty might be in now... if we ever see here again! Sob!
Remember what he did to The Vision!* :^O
