For retracting naughty bits require a cold pool. Great looking page #7. Hair, hairy skin, metal, so many textures to separate and everything does look natural. I had forgotten Logan was only in a towel until reading the comments for today's page. I had to go back and pull up those commissions you did with the X-men vs the Imperial Guard. I wonder what they would look like from this particular Elsewhen battle.

I always love when you do Savage Wolverine!
BTW, I've pondered if perhaps you have the record for the number of comic book panels containing obscured nudity. You may have been one of the first in a code-approved book, too! (Dave beats you with Storm in GXM#1, at least)

When I recreated Storm’s intro in XHY, just as Dave had drawn it, Marvel ordered me to “add more hair”. Likewise for the rest of the issue. <eye-roll emoji>

If that page doesn't include at least one "Damn-I'm-Good" moment for you, JB, then I have no idea what would! Those first two panels may just be my new favorite thing you've ever drawn, and I've never been a huge fan of Wolverine!

Another in a long list of wow moments... With action sequences like this, I could easily enjoy it lasting a whole issue!
I love Jahf using one foot to hold on to the back of Charles... er, the Professor's... wheel chair, Wolverine's enraged but determined face, and Jean's reaction... Just superlative stuff coming our way every page...
Is it just me, or was Robin Williams (RIP) the only actor hairy enough for Wolverine?!?

Michael G. - Well, we got CGI to beat the boards these days. You could cast Meryl as Wolverine, and the effects would make her look good - and no worries about retracting dingalings.
Speaking of... Mr. Byrne: "Of course, I could just show that his naughty bits retract, like his claws!" This reminds me of the old joke with Snow White and Pinocchio... "Tell a lie! Tell the truth! Tell a lie! Tell the truth!"

Y'know, the "Batman shows dick" story had a lot of legs once upon a time. Maybe the "Wolverine hangs dong" moment could have a similar effect on ELSEWHEN exposure?

I don't think any artist in comics gets faces to express in the way we see today - Fang looking like a sane rage while Wolvie is killing rage like the animal state he is in. All the naughty bit talk got me thinking if I've ever seen a fully naked character by Mr. Byrne but only can recall some full frontal for one guy in Next Men years ago. I'm sure there are others but that is all that comes to mind (probably because I recently re-read the series due to a comment someone here made about it a month or two ago).
Hopefully everyone else here when you hit someone mentioning how great the 80's FF & X-Men were in social media gives out a link to this stuff. All old fans of comic books should see it (and new ones too, but old ones will be so happy to see it).

@John N. -well, there was some nudity in the "Critical Error" story in "The Art of John Byrne"...
Also, there was She-Hulk jumping rope in the nude in her comic book series... Oh, sorry -she was actually wearing a bikini that was hidden by jump-rope blur lines, but we can dream, can't we? LOL
