Speaking from experience, suddenly having half of your body no longer feel "normal" is completely awful. Maybe it's not so bad with Shi'ar technology though? But it's probably still awful.
Looks neat though!

This latest page is a work of art in how it's laid out with non-square panels. It reads beautifully, with all the text perfectly placed! It does remind me of some Neal Adams pages when the lettering was placed well.
All the so-called 'mundane' detailing gives that extra sensation of weight to ground the events, a reality which many comic book world makers gloss over or provide as only the barest generics. I actually thought Don Heck in the early '60s Marvels had some of this quality; he would draw relatable, though stylistically of their time, furnishings and clothes. Maybe not so much on The Avengers but the earlier solo Iron Man and Ant-Man/Giant-Man comics.

The mastery of the perspective is on show in every page. The shot looking down from the balcony is masterful.

This is a sequence that shows signs of the edit, if you know where to look. The panel of Oracle's arm was supposed to be a cliffhanger for the issue, and the next issue would begin with this:
Followed by the whammy page, of course.

This has me wondering:
Are the Imperial Guard coming to Earth at full strength? Will other members of the IG be cybernetically enhanced to allow them to be at full power?
Then again with Gladiator, does it really matter?

The cybernetic hand and the way you can see the different layers within the skull are amazing.

Those things is creepy! I don't want to see the insides of the cyborg's head! I get the feeling that if its eye locks onto you, you're toast

The Oracle T-800 series? She/it looks like a bear to draw... so many beautiful (and horrifying) details! There seems to be a gap in my knowledge of the Imperial Guard... are they all cyborgs or just her?

Rick S. - So far as I recall, B'nee and C'cll were the only non-humanoid Guards. Of course, once Dark Phoenix got through with them, they could all be part android. Or entirely androids with only memories programmed in to remember how to act. Or only Oracle (yeah, I'm reckoning that would be a long shot...)
I'm quite certain Mr. Byrne will tell us when the time is right.
