Surprised he hasn't gotten more requests for Marvel characters but here's a Namor vs Hulk commission he did awhile ago...


Would be interesting to see him draw the Fantastic Four... or maybe the X-Men!

It’s never been a matter of lack of requests. As a rule, he doesn’t do at
home commissions. There have. Been a handful of exceptions over the
years, though he has never publicly entertained commission requests.

I know. For some reason, I’ve been unable to post photos for some time. I’m
pretty technologically challenged and so never figured it out.

my JBFing from it.

I seem to recall that Alan Davis talking about the style guide and how helpful it was when he first started at DC.

When I started on Superman, Dick Giordano gave me a copy of the style guide. I still have it.

Looking at Jose’s beautiful drawings was almost enough to make me seek honest work—like as a plumber.
