Maybe Gladiator couldn't take out Sprite if she was phasing.
Maybe not Prof X either.
But he could probably beat on poor ol' confused Wolverine a bit.

Glad to see we'll get a resolution to the Shi'Ar new status quo. I'm not a big fan of them as a core element of the X-Men (although its fine in the greater Marvel Universe), but there are many open questions about them right now and I'd like to see them wound up here.
I'm very intrigued by who the survivors of the Imperial Guard might be. I believe JB was never a fan of them as a clone of the Legion of Super-Heroes (which is why his new contributions during Dark Phoenix Saga were original characters) so I'm even more curious whether we'll see any of the original Cockrum IG or if we'll see new (perhaps previously unknown!) IG characters.
Great issue. My favorite so far. I feel we are finally treading new ground after so long a build up.

Why the assumption that the Imperial Guard is going to fight the X-Men? Dark Phoenix ATTACKED them as well! There seem to be too many assumptions, too much trying to prognosticate what the ever surprising Mr. Byrne presents to us.
I hope you can relax a bit for your month "off", and thank again, Mr. Byrne.

Now that we're in November, I'm hoping...
- things go smoothly on Tuesday and beyond; - there is a light at the end of the tunnel on this pandemic; - that all of you on the Forum remain happy and healthy, despite the stress under which we all live; and - that December 7 comes faster than the calendar says, so we can get back to more ELSEWHEN.
Happy November, all!
