Oh the joy - check the Fan Fic page - no new page. Catch up with the comments and check the page - new page posted!!!
Chuck that Farley - very funny.
Once again though, we see that Wolverine is a jump in, try to get the job done in the most effective manner possible before anyone can think.
Because that's who he is.

Page six is fantastic. It seems like every issue has a page or two that makes me reconsider my “best Elsewhen page” list. Also, Wolverine hasn’t been treated this well by a writer in a long time. When Logan has JB’s attention he is never out of character.

Yikes! Now that's a cliffhanger at the end of the page. Not looking good for our pal Logan.
"Chuck that, Farlie" was hilarious.

I have a bad feeling about what will happen to Wolverine on monday.
A lot of people think it's a compliment to say action scenes in comic books are "cinematographic". I don't think it is. These last pages show you can read fight scenes in a more comprehensible way than in action movies, especially in super hero films...

Credit where credit is due: I'm borrowing from Robert Crumb here.

Speaking of Wolverine, how much bias can you find in THIS?If I'd "had my way"? Sheesh. This was nothing more than a fan drawing, done long before I was anywhere near associated with the X-Men. Ah, but the flames of Big Bad Byrne must be fanned, no matter what. (And, yes, I do think Dave's version was WAY better--even tho it was basically Timberwolf.)

Holy moley, that's lovely. I've heard "Chuck U., Farley" a number of times, but it's especially delightful here!
I've long thought that Wolverine has received short shrift as a member of the X-Men with a heaping helping of Claremont to confound the issue. Wolverine is not stupid; he must know he CANNOT stop Dark Phoenix. But he can wound her* and distract her for a second or two, and thus the give the X-Men a chance to regroup.
I think his assessment is also correct that if they run, Dark Phoenix will just pick them off one at a time. They have to work as a team, and the available time to do this is NONE. Professor X can try to summon help, but if they don't attack now, she'll demolish them.
*He DID wound her, didn't he? Interesting that this entity-inhabited woman is still subject to physical pain from a few hunks of metal. I wonder if her attention can be distracted and thus make her vulnerable.
