Oh, even after all these decades, I still have to give Storm to Dave!

Regarding how this all resolved itself; relish your ignorance as I do. It is kinda fun to wonder how they will get out of this mess and I do it, but something tells me whatever I guess will fall short. Remember that the original plan was to make Dark Phoenix a reoccurring villain, but it’s anyone’s guess what JB does to our brains. ;)
I wonder when Storm decides to dispense with the kindness approach. Whatever happens, a battle with Dark Phoenix should be spectacular.

I understand, especially as Dave was responsible for many of the character designs (which are so iconic) for the X-Men and others (like Ms. Marvel, I believe?)and he was one of the greats.
I will add that I forgot to mention, since the ladies are drawn so well (and sometimes distract me a bit), that I also find your drawing of Wolverine, Colossus, and Nightcrawler second to none as well. That's true for many, many other characters across a host of comic books but you get the point, I hope...

The pain/anguish on Storm's face is another image I cannot imagine inked.

I have a feeling Jahf's counsel will be part of how they (and Jean) defeat Phoenix but I'm glad the floral arrangement word bouquet in the first go around was kept to a minimum (Claremont would have taken five paragraphs for Storm's sisterly appeal).

Claremont would have taken five paragraphs for Storm's sisterly appeal.•• Roger Stern used to joke that to edit Chris' scripts he would just remove every third word. ;) I wonder if Chris would have done that, tho? One of my major frustrations, working with him, was that he would so often write a scene other than how I intended.

JB,
I know there are many iconic shots of Dark Phoenix that you'd drawn during the DP Saga, but the shot you drew in the first panel of today's page is incredible. I think it's my new favorite!
And I'd say this may be my favorite page of Elsewhen, except you've been making me a liar on nearly a daily basis.
Please keep making me a liar. I am loving this.

I'm staying tooned as well! I used to think that I am hanging on every page, but this Phoenix story has me hanging on every panel. This sequence with Storm is heart wrenching.

One thing that strikes me: we all (think we) know what the X-Men are fighting--the Phoenix entity bonded to the replica of Jean it created back when. X-Men like Storm and Professor X are trying to reach Jean on that basis, when this replica isn't quite their friend and comrade.
What's going to happen when they realize what they've been fighting?
