Y'know, you drag a guy through dirt, burning your hands and stuff, and then THIS happens!

JB, did you draw one eye and flip it in the bottom panel?•• Yup! This is a case were I would expect the inks would add a little natural asymmetry--if there were inks!! Not the first time I've done something like this, of course. I think the first one was Magneto's gigantic underground lair, way back when.

Stupid me didn't consider that heating his bones also means his skull!
BTW - are you playing his skeleton as being actual Adamantium, instead of "laced" as was added later?

BTW - are you playing his skeleton as being actual Adamantium, instead of "laced" as was added later?•• "Laced" was added (to placate Shooter) after I left. Therefore, in ELSEWHEN, not real. Does this look "laced"? References to Logan's skeleton being "laced" with adamantium came about as a result of Shooter's Whim of Iron one day declaring Wolverine could not have an "adamantium skeleton" since blood corpuscles are produced in the marrow. That his mutant healing process might not need that, and might, in fact, be how those Canadian doctors had the idea to replace his bones in the first place, was not allowed into the conversation. (Classic Claremontism in that first panel -- an acre of dialog coming in from off-panel while the featured characters say nothing.)

JB - As a 48yr old life long reader and huge fan of yours.... this Elsewhen is arguably some of your best work (i think personally) in years. I mean, I've loved it all..... but this new stuff... is just wonderful and the way comics need to be (again.) This is the stuff that made them great...... so that they could eventually evolve into the crap that came later. (again in my opinion.) This is a brilliant idea. Thank you

So much fun to read both the comic and the comments! It is like having a DVD directors commentary that you get to hear during breaks every few minutes. My inner fanboy is going nuts over this even while I deal with my kids and help my oldest with the grandkids over texts (my oldest grandson is starting onto comics via the b&w essentials - old Spider-Man and Hulk collections to start with the All-Star Comics B&W 70's edition). Hopefully he'll get hooked like I did, and then his younger siblings as well.

JB - Just noticed on the second panel of today's page. The tear in the knee of Kittys' jeans. Awesome little details like that are so neat to see in your work.

"My first thought was, "Omigod! He actually DID IT!"
"I know the moment of which you speak, sir!"
"You finally did it..."
Me: I can appreciate this, totally, but she better be ok, John. I can't bear to lose another.
