This is perfect. Yes shame on me, I missed all of this while I was away from comics for a time. Fitting news since I just received my She-Hulk omnibus today.

"I wouldn’t look for Bat/Cap if I were you. Too many legal layers."
I've not thought of this specific aspect before right now, but which company paid you for the inter-company cross-over?

Bat/Cap was paid out as a Marvel book. (An intense frustration that came out of that: Mark Gruenwald was putatively the editor, and he sat on the book for weeks after DC had signed off on their part. When he finally started giving me notes, I damn near exploded. He had trouble with some of the Batman elements!)

This is a regular reread for me. Glad to see it as an omnibus.

Really happy to see this coming for those who weren't able to enjoy it the first time around. As JB has said, Cap/Batman will not make it in due to legal issues. Coupled with that and a desire to have all of the other stories (Batman Gotham Knights #2, Doom Patrol #13-14) in one spot, I'm considering having having the originals bound.
Question: what order would you bind? Published order? Date from the story?

I tore apart a few of my comp copies and clipped them back together in story date order.

He had trouble with some of the Batman elements!

He wouldn’t have had any say over the Batman aspects tho, would he?

[Mark Gruenwald] had trouble with some of the Batman elements!********* He wouldn’t have had any say over the Batman aspects tho, would he? •• Exactly my point. Mark was holding up the book by fussing over elements on which DC had already signed off. As I said, when I found out that was the reason for the delay, I was furious.

There must be a Dilbert strip for that.

Well, that settles it. Time to break out the scissors and XACTO knife!
At the risk of going full on fanboy (who am I kidding, too late), does this order look correct? I'm most uncertain on the dates Gotham Knights 2 and Doom Patrol 13 & 14 (went with 2005 since it was the pub date). Directed to all...

Wasn’t there a story in BATMAN BLACK AND WHITE? Or is that the GOTHAM KNIGHTS entry?
