In the sixth panel, Kitty is supposed to be "swimming" thru the debris, not bursting out like Superman. Still trying to think of a better way to portray that.

Honestly, I didn't get a Superman vibe from that panel. Looked more like her wading through the debris to me. I think the POV you chose accomplished that for you, perhaps. |

Tough to depict "swimming" through debris. Kitty has to be

Like Scott, I also did not get a Superman-burst vibe, and thought it worked just fine as is.

However, in the spirit of trying to be helpful...maybe something more of a breast-stroke posture? Cupped hands pushing backwards, legs clearly not braced to push?

Also: The swimming/floating through very thick solids feels like a new aspect, or at least unexplored view, of her power.  Nice touch.

The sixth panel looked fine to me. Maybe

 | it would have been slightly better to see
her phase through some of the debris?

I love seeing the different levels. (I
hope Carla doesn't have to clean those
 floors also.)

ITEM: When Kitty is moving through debris and such, you might consider showing more as running than flying. I don't often see flyers in a running pose - but obviously someone who is literally running would... well, look as if they're running.

ITEM: Wherein the problem with calling the Safe Room just that? Sometimes we need a real world description to impress what it really is. I recall another discussion where we tried to rename comic books, and we had a bit of a problem finding another name.
ITEM: Speaking of "Safe" room... I remember an issue of New Mutants where the government was attacking the Xavier Mansion (in the Future Past timeline), and Xavier was at a window trying to convince them to stop. Rachel Summers was with him, and his oxymoron comment to her was (as I recall), "Get down to the Danger Room, child - you'll be safe there!"
And then Xavier was shot down, but he should have been in the Danger Room.
ITEM: To quote Willy Wonka: " I always thought a verruca was a type of wart you got on the bottom of your foot."

The Danger Room WOULD be a safe place—provided no one turned it on while you were in there!

And you know it got a lot worse...
Since Rachel and Franklin Richards were an "item" in Days of Future, etc, they end up producing a kid, HYPERSTORM, who becomes an FF villain |

Hyperstorm is just such an awful name. Honestly, weren't there any even slightly-better codenames available?

Although "Safety Cube" is pretty good. Suggests that there are "safety cubes" scattered throughout the building like residential lifeboats.

...which triggers a thought. Does Cerebro have a "black box" in case of catastrophic failure?
