Joel: When would they have had any debate? The Greys didn't take her to the X-Men. When Jean was found, she was found by Cyclops and Wolverine. So of course those two would have taken her back to the mansion given her startling condition. Presumably they then alerted the Greys to what was going on with her and had them come over to the mansion.

Again, lots of speculation — and I believe this stems from a character (Elaine) having a huge emotional arc happening “offscreen”.
I’m excited to see where it all goes — and how Elaine’s character progresses in the upcoming pages!

Another great action page today - this series is awash with them!
It's apparent that the orientation of panels in this series' action sequences consistently differs from the standard horizontal/vertical/perpendicular panel layouts used for non-action narrative pages. This certainly affords a more 'dynamic' visual experience and (for this grateful reader, at any rate) works splendidly. There are odd exceptions - but on the whole, there does appear to be a pattern. Is this is a very deliberate strategy, or something that has developed organically?

Small Note: Yesterday I was ruminating on some of my plans for future issues when the ground dropped out from under me. I had FORGOTTEN something. Something VERY important.
And since the point of ELSEWHEN is to diverge from one key point whilst remaining faithful to what had gone before, I suddenly saw a whole pile of plotting turn to liquid and wash away!
Who ever said this job was easy??

It's not like you were able to collaborate with another writer/inker/plotter and/or editors. You could just consider us honorary editors in this case...

I don't know what it is about the way you draw Cyke's optic blasts, but they've always been the most "crisp" version out there. Does it have something to do with what you use to draw them? Like "line-thickness" or something?
