You're apologising for us having to wait until April 6th for the next 'issue'?!?!?
This is truly the BEST X-book of the last few decades and it is a crime it is not seeing print (not a criticism, just an observation). We are getting to see/read this sublime vision for FREE. And you are apologising???
Never mind that - thank YOU for making it relevant to be an X-Men fan again after all these years. I've missed these misfits.

Hear! Hear! Well said, James - I agree wholeheartedly!

While at this point it goes without saying, I'll say it again anyways: Thanks again for the awesome art and story, John. We're not yet that spoiled that we can't wait for you to draw all this at whatever pace you feel.

(Month long) Winter has come...I'm an addict without his (Mr)fix(it). JB, thanks for this dream come true. You came back to finish JBNM, now your UXM. I am a happy fan/kid again.

As far as this being the “best X-book”, I don’t know that I can necessarily take a whole lot of credit for that. After all, I have the distinct advantage of being able to pick and choose when it comes to “continuity”, and I am not lumbered with all the junk and nonsense that’s been shoveled by into the hopper since I left.

Even so, you've shown just how easy it could be to put the book onto a solid footing in a short time frame. Any writer could pick up today's books choose to ignore a bunch of what had gone on before, and just start writing good stories.

The marketplace that has been created over the last 40 years would make it, I think, very hard for writers, artists and editors to work any real change. Even if we ignore having to arrive at a concensus on what should or should not be “fixed” there are too many customers who would strongly resist any modification of the status quo.

It's been a while, but did you see much resistance when you "reworked" Superman? Of course that run was very successful, and we enjoyed it very much, but I seem to recall some resistance at first...

LOL -wow... Well in the end those comments will be mostly forgotten by and large (I hope) and all that will be remembered will be the excellent work you did.

"there are too many customers who would strongly resist any modification of the status quo."-------------------------
Seeing as how the status quo now involves Scott/Jean/Logan in a love triangle of a much more literal sense, count me among the resistance.

To be clear, you would NOT want to see that changed?

Only if Jean is NOT the one removed. Or are Scott and Logan in a relationship now?
