Your art and style during those issues was over the top and super unique for those days------------------------------------------ I thought the art was spot on, rather than over the top.
As for super unique... What's the difference between unique and super unique??
The art previously was merely unique; there was no art anywhere the same. After, the art became super unqiue; there was no art anywhere the same... but even more...

Getting a "Prisoner" vibe from the ball of glop the grabbed Ben•• Hm. "Fido" was large, white, translucent, soft, and remained a consistent size. Yeah, okay. . . . .

Amazing art in the latest page. Very skilful to make the truck look so... grubby. And the expression on Jean's face in the final panel really stirs the emotions.

Thank goodness it's not Friday!!!!
It's so good to see your Jean again. You didn't have nearly enough time drawing her ( and I'm referring to Jean, not Phoenix....Hidden Years was around nowhere near long enough)

I don't think those guys are gonna get quite what they expected...
Also, I just noticed that other than one panel, the X-Men haven't even been in this issue. (Ok, two counting Cyclops on the monitor).

Don't you dare Mr. Byrne!!!
My brain tells me those truckers are in for it, but I can't help but be a bit worried for Jean...
Actually been waiting forever for these pages. Jean looks great too... You always did (and continue to) nail emotions so well..
But... don't you dare!!! LOL

I did. I was speaking of active, fighting members, I guess. I've never really considered Xavier a member, per se. I still see him as a mentor or instructor, I guess.

I'm reminded of the letters of complaint Chris and I got after the Xavier solo issue we did. "We want to read about the X-Men!" Didn't occur to us for a moment that Charles was NOT an X-Man himself.

I suppose Charles could be considered the first X-Man. Silly fans.
Now that we are six issues into this dream come true I have to say that pages like today's page 12 and previous "non-action" pages like the train station, Muir island, Mall shopping, etc. are lots of fun visually. They are not super heroes and villains fighting each other, but they are damned fine drafting and all seem to set that intangible "mood" quite well for us readers.

Today's page brought back memories of Bethany being attacked in a similarly unsavory place. *shudder*
