Of the Lee & Kirby run, the sentinels issues are amongst the one i most often read. Those, the two with the Juggernaut, the one with Ka-zar in the savage land, the Namor story and the Unus one. add the two first Blob appearances, and the first Lucifer one, and i could almost move dirrectly to the Claremont & Byrne X-Men, not that i don't like the rest, but because those are the dearest to me.Cockrum's i got in back issues, Steranko & Adams i had to wait for the reprint and got them later. All those were hiden treasure i was happy to discover, part of the X-Men history i was aware of but had not read. But Claremont & Byrne and Lee & Kirby i read at the same time, the ones as the X-Men of my time, the others as reprint that made them present too. The past of course, and history, but also the present. There were the New and the Ancient X-men, and i loved both.

I prefer it non-cropped, as you have been doing so far.
AMAZING first few pages there. The art is great, the narration engaging, it grabs you right from the off. The nightmare. A great way to describe a sentinel. It's those mechanical visages that are so frightening.

Yep, non-cropped are better: small pages are hard to read on a screen.

The panels themselves shouldn't be any smaller, Stéphane. The resolution remains the same as it has been; it would just be lacking the white border around the outside. Simply a question of whether you want the border or not.
I prefer having it.

Ok, i got it.Here is where i stand: When i first came in comics, which is the time when you were doing the X-Men, and for us french, also Iron Fist, there was a border. I generaly prefer my comics with a border, but that doesn't mean that i would have a strong dislike of the cropped version. The first time i saw cropped pages, i think it was on DC's Sun Devils or V (the series adapted of the tv show). At first i liked it, maybe simply because it was new and different and gave a slightly different identity & look to the books. Later almost every comic was cropped. That's not always a problem, sometime i like it, and sometime i don't. As an exemple i think it doesn't work on Kirby's 80's 4rth world stories. For me, i prefer Kirby with the border. In your case i like both. Here i would vote for the border, but it woudn't be a tragedy if there's not one.

Those later comics were not CROPPED, Stéphane. Marvel and DC introduced FULL BLEED pages, where some or all of the art extended OFF the edges of the page, Without the white borders, you were actually getting MORE art. (As I learned when I started doing Full Bleed, and quickly realized those extra square inches added up to about a panel more to draw.)On the page seen above, the side borders of the center three panels are to the original 10x15 dimensions, while the other panels extend BEYOND that.

Issue 2:
Brilliant start. It is the attention to detail. People leaping out of cars, people stuck in hurled cars.
2 Crop or Not:
My heart says to leave the extra space as we can get to see some of the additional 'workings out' which is a real treat but my mind is telling me that really this is the 'end result' of your feverish fun filled frolics, so it probably ought be displayed as you intended, cropped. My vote is to crop.

I'd rather see the 'raw' images, but only because I like the extra stuff that occasionally shows up in the margins.
