The hair is magnifique!! And I love the call back to Jeanne-Marie and Walt in AF 4. Thankfully, Jeffries didn't get punched for his trouble.

Thanks guys. I tried to mimic John's style as best I could, but I found my own style sneaking in there all over the place. The idea was to make it feel like John had drawn the pages.
Ryan... the call back to AF #4 was intentional and I'm really glad that someone picked up on it!!
I also used a bunch of zipatone on this page in a bit of an homage to John's run on Namor and his best work (IMO) which was OMAC!!

The art is nice, Shane.
The pose in the first panel does look awfully close to the splash of Northstar from Alpha Flight #25.

Thanks Peter. You have a good eye. I was definitely looking at that pose when drawing this. Trying to see how Byrne rendered certain things. I looked at a ton of JB's Alpha Flight stuff to try and get that era into this style. John made that pose look amazing... I tried the same angle and it made Jefferies look deformed. lol. I think its because I had his hands coming upward and it destroys the downward perspective and makes things look slightly out of whack.
I think its awesome that JB fans can spot the times I was specifically using certain panels for reference. I had a fan on a JB fanpage on FB point out the reaction of Aurora to Jeffries' touch being very similar to her reaction to Walt in Issue 4. (another instance I specifically referenced for her facial reaction)

Very nice. I like how both respectful the renderings are to the Byrne originals as well as how they are done overall.
The inks are very nice as well.
I would be curious to see you Shane Hill renders one of the Elsewhen pages that John Byrne has penciled.

Thanks Brad. I have inked a couple pages from Elsewhen. You can check the inks out on page 38 of the Elsewhen inks thread. Shane
