I can’t see the similarity, but if you like it, I’m happy.

John Byrne said: "Serifs on the letter I are to be used only when the letter is itself upper case, as in India or Isabella. Even if the word in question is the beginning of a sentence, it's best to avoid serifs on the likes of "It" or "Imagine" etc."
I 100% agree! It looks amateurish. Its something most people won't notice... unless you've lettered before, then it stands out like a sore thumb.

I've been studying the late great Dave Stevens' style of inking lately hoping to pick up some pointers. Also, referencing Alan Aldridge when it comes to foliage - he's the chap that painted Elton John's Captain Fantastic (and Tears for Fears) album cover.Issue 1 page 18

Thank you Shane! I love inking those jungle scenes (especially if there be monsters afoot)!

Hey, inkers! Are you more comfortable throwing or pulling lines? Which gives you the greater sense of control?

Throwing lines away from my body seems to give me more control.

I have always been a thrower as well, but I forced myself to ink a page today exclusively pulling lines. By the end, I felt much more in control of line lengths. It still feels awkward at this point, but I’m hoping to get my muscle memory activated.

I typically pull ink lines toward me and spin the page as I do it. Incidentally, I've always thought the term of 'throwing lines' as an odd one, nut I see it is the new vernacular (unless it's always been around and I just didn't know it!)
