While I do think the arm hair looks better as you advised, Tony, I think Paul's inking of Sauron's mouth area looks fine, and prefer it without the outline.

I think the white line helps to give some separation between Sauron's lower mouth and Wolverine's arm. I don't think it's needed for the upper part to separate from the wing.

The arm hair definitely works better with a bit of bicep baldness; really helps to show the roundness of the muscle.

Nice piece of inking overall, Paul.

I agree with Peter, the white outline feels a little bit like a Sauron "sticker".  It's really a very skilled result Paul.

I think your reworking of where Sauron’s lower beak meets Wolverine’s arm, and the wing, fixed the problem. You can clearly see the beak is in front of the arm, and the arm in front of the wing. Nicely done!

Thanks guys! I appreciate all the feedback (:

Here's my next -
A methadone page! Actually, two methadone pages that were scrapped for the ELSEWHEN series. A few things of note on these:
JB doesn't shy away from detail. I always felt he didn't get enough credit for that; and just the beauty of the natural-ness of the characters - A Skrull leaning on a chair with his arm resting on his compatriot's chair, the main Skrull resting his arm on the glass display, the runners hurrying to who knows where to do who knows what. I love those little touches.
On the second page I just want to say that nobody draws eyeballs like John Byrne! I still remember marveling at the scene in X-Men where Mastermind gets zapped by Phoenix and the 'Dali' effect of his eyes.

Pretty sure I tried my hand at that first one with the skrulls—fun page! If I can dig it up I’ll post it.

Oh, and great job on both. Love the textures in that second page.

I never finished it, but always loved that Skrull page and gave it a go last year.

A great deal is lost in reducing it to 600 pixels wide.

Nice work, Eric! I like the red digital images.

As usual, I look at my page and see things I want to work on. The ship in the first panel is one of those images. I know it's probably a case of me over-rendering but it's also a fun process to see what I could bring to the table.

It's hard to believe it's been four years of inking posts! What a difference practicing will do.. I look at my early inks in this thread and cringe!
