Thank you, Jon! In all honesty, I was trying to ink Thing as JB would but of course it ended up coming out differently.Here 'tis - my final page to my goal of inking a page from all ELSEWHEN issues. This is Issue 14 page 9.

It's fine work. I would suggest looking at how elongated some of your human faces are. The eyes are typically actually somewhere closer to halfway down the face than the one thirdwe think we see when we look in the mirror. Pencils are Byrne or Byrne influenced and inks.. it reminds me less of Terry Austin than old Joe Sinnott and Byrne's work always looked different depending on who inked him, which is among the reasons why he decided to take on all the tasks he could do himself - himself.

I see what you're saying, Jon. I believe that was mostly in reference to Kitty's face. I made a slight tweak to see if I can correct that. This is in no way a correction on JB's art but fixing my inks. A lot of times when pages are reproduced in larger format (as is what I did here), I need to make sure it adjusts properly in scale. I think that was the issue in this case.

Congratulations Paul. Quite a feat!
I wish I had the time or your talent with a pen to follow in your foot steps and attempt the "ELSEWHEN Inker's Gambit" as well.

Very nice, Craig! Reminds me of some of the old school inkers.Here's my latest - Issue 8 page 5. I wanted to do a little more experimenting with this page - trying to find my style!

Thanks Steven! That's one of the things I wanted to work on a bit more - subtle details. Also, there are subtleties that pencilers (particularly JB) puts in that I don't really notice until I ink over them. I'm trying to make sure they don't get lost in the inks.

Mark - Thanks! Yes, I used a combination of new brush pens (Kuretake) and Tombow pens. I also used microns and pigma sensei pens and Flymax white paint pen. Then I will use Photoshop to erase smudges and stuff. I actually forgot to use the 'Magic marker' on Photoshop to eliminate the bluelines - I will post that now.

Bold choice Paul. I applaud you for doing the mundane stuff!! This is the stuff editor's will look at because they're sick only looking at the super-hero stuff... being able to do the realistic stuff well is equally important.
