I don't know Sam. Generations, to me, worked so well -besides the great art and top notch writing- because it relied on 60 years of comics history and played with the concept of real time.
This new movie doesn't have that background. The cinematic history consist of four movies of which one is perfect, one is mildly good at best and the other two are POS. Why not keep exploring the character as it is instead of presenting us with a Superman that, allegedly, already has a son; which is not a direction I'd like the Superman movies to go.

It appears different and Singer's approach I'm curious about. Filmmakers have the tendency to go back and start all over again to put their spin on a character. Singer decided to moved forward, a progression of the Man of Steel, I'm beginning to get excited about the tidbits I've read about the film. I hope the film turns out well.

Now you know the need for the "Richard White" character.

For all we know, Lois is the surrogate. In fact, I'd say that
seems more likely than her being the actual mom. We'll just have
to wait and see, I guess.

I remember Lois and Clark, it was mentioned that Superman and Lois could not reproduce. Why not? JB did Generations and it worked well in my book, Singer could make it happen. Maybe?
