Biden did NOT anticipate TRUMP giving the most erratic, aggressive debate performance in recent history!?!?? FOR REAL???
Then shame on him and he deserves to lose if he is THAT stupid and unprepared
Amen. This is exactly the problem.
The message you get when you see the Democrat strategy is that they don't know what's going on. They keep expecting Trump and his sycophants to be "normal" somehow.
It's like they've just encountered the phenomenon. It's been 4 years (almost 5 if you count the Trump campaign's "serious" irruption). Is "shut up, man" the best you've got?
Marc, why are you so flustered and outraged at Biden, but you say nothing of Trump's white supremecy and voter suppression?
I know this isn't addressed to me but since Marc and I've been expressing similar points I'll take it.
Trump is the worst president in US history, from a practical point of view and an even much worse one from a moral one. We all know this, we've been saying it repeatedly in this very thread. Absolutely no one is defending him.
But, at some point, you have to accept this and move beyond that and elaborate some kind of plan for YOU (meaning the Dems) to beat him. Finger-wagging is not going to cut it, and neither is going down to his level (again, because that's the territory where he's better).
Today, the headlines are saying the debate was a national disgrace with two old white men trading insults while one of them was more natural and experienced at doing so.
For me, it's a losing scenario and it's frustrating since as I've also said already I'm not exactly confident on polls when it comes to this particular guy.
It's Hillary all over again. Of course she was "better" (meaning she said things that made sense and was much less of a terrible human being) than Trump on the debates (and much, much better than Biden).
But still, Trump successfully framed the campaign to the territory he was more comfortable in, a lot of people saw it that way, and he won.
Same trap, and the Democrats seem to fall for it every time.
