He's rushing to deny it, which of course means the story is 100% true.
Also, I'd bet serious money he didn't actually write that tweet. Expressions like "quite the contrary" are pretty rare in his lingo.
But whoever wrote it apparently forgot that not only did he call McCain a loser several times, he even retweeted the bit himself. If it were any other President at any other given time this would be huge but obviously nothing much's gonna happen.

Obviously Trump is a sick, despicable man, but what about the hundreds of Republican politicians who have remained silent or even defended the vile comments?? Is this latest revelation the FINAL straw?

I’m convinced the only thing that can turn Trump’s base away is if multiple mistresses come out with proof that he encouraged and paid for their abortions. And I wouldn’t put it past them to rationalize /that/ away.
