James - I think you actually could attack both, since it's lack of any cohesive leadership and planning (with plenty of flat-out magical thinking propagated across RWM) that led to both the uncontrolled spread of the Coronavirus and to the resultant economic downturn.

Just to be clear on just how much a piece of shit Trump is. He has, today, compared the shooting to a golfer missing a three foot putt.
Fuck me that man is a callous piece of shit

That interview with Laura Ingraham sure is something. "These people," "those people," "shadow people," he's taking them all on.

Constitutional law question from a Canadian: Trump visited Kenosha today, against the wishes of the Mayor and Governor. The Secret Service must coordinate and use resources (officers) from local police. Remember how much the bills for all the early Maralgo trips were costing the local city?
Can a Mayor and/or Governor that doesn’t want the President to visit order his/her police not to participate in the President’s security? Or is that cooperation required by law?

I'd like to know that myself, considering he still hasn't paid the bills for security at rallies when he was running for the job during the last election. Going to be plenty of mayors who won't want him campaigning on their watch.

The Secret Service is a federal law enforcement agency, so I would guess the cooperation it receives would be on par with, say, the FBI. It's probably up to the chief of police or whatever authority is in charge of the police.
IMO, I doubt they got much cooperation this time around since the Mayor and others told the orange one to not visit.

Yup. You can just feel the US folding under the strain of trying to resist what it wanted to be all along. 60 or so years of “Civil Rights” are crumbling. America is reverting back to it’s true form...like Bruce Banner changes into the Hulk. But its been happening slowly...and building up momentum.

Sadly, unlike the Hulk analogy, we aren’t better, nor is the world a better place, for reverting.

So still recent.
Honestly, I think if he gets four more years, lynchings will be back on the agenda. Ugly. ugly, ugly
I'm seeing so many videos of delivery drivers being stopped by people in gated communities and being asked why they are there, how did they get in etc.
There is a really ugly, evil undercurrent that has been allowed to grow and grow and finally get to the point where it no longer has to worry about being hidden any more.
It is sanctioned and supported by the President no less.
