Richard,

Gotta disagree with you a bit, a certain number of people refused to vote for THAT woman.  I had to hold my nose and vote for her myself.

Two MAJOR candidates for President of the United States, one the INCUMBENT, another a former Vice-President and they both are campaigning on the results of their respective cognitive function tests!

*********************************

Actually only one is via twitter, the other is basically shrugging his shoulders and ignoring it.  Biden is focusing more on what's important.

Hmm. Maybe instead of one of the debates, that test should
be applied to both candidates. I'd watch that!
-----------------------------------------------

Not that test please.
If the standard of cognitive ability is being able to
recognise a lion or tell the time, woe betide us. As
mentioned a number of times - this is a dementia test and
the president of the USA found it, quote, 'Hard, really
hard'.

That scares the shit out of me.

James W., you can bet that I'd love to see the results of an IQ test - or even an SAT test.

Shucks, let's hire Alex Trebek and have him Jeopardy! them through one of the Kids' championships.

Really, all that would do though is ridicule Trump and showing that Biden is smarter than your average high school sophomore.

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

It's not a given that Trump will lose, obviously.  They are sticking with him in hopes he will win.

As to the issue that the Trump version of the Republican Party is not sustainable... that is probably true, but they do not care.  He has helped them get what they want right now, which is massive tax cuts for the wealthy and a federal court system that is heavily skewed to the right with the O'Connell's fast-tracking of incompetent extremist judges.  Mainstream Republicans are willing to tolerate everything else about Trump to get those two things.  They are even willing to damage the long-term prospects of their party to get those two things.  O'Connell's work on the courts will skew things in a pro-Republican way for decades, thwarting attempts to stop gerrymandering.

Here's how to tell what Trump has been up to.

What is he accusing someone of / calling them by nickname?
Whatever that is, it will be what he has been up to.

Whatever he says he has done, you can guarantee that this
is exactly the opposite of what he has actually done.

Credit Obama with absolutely nothing.

Did anyone catch his "I wish her well" comment when asked if Trump had anything to say to accused Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell?

It sent shivers down my spine!

I did Marc.

Here’s my next question.
Is the US about to really go for it against China in an attempt to divert
attention from the Covid disaster? Really?

Because that’s what it looks like to me.

Pretty sure it's exactly what he is doing. I know quite a few Americans here who are not exactly excited at the possible outcome.

What annoys me about Trump - and his supporters - are
those constant comments like

You wouldn't know this ....
No one else has done as well as I have on ....

No you effing muppet. Everyone knows it, it's just
you're so effing thick that you didn't.

In my row with a Trump supporter who was claiming that
Bill Gates manufactured COVID, the guy said 'I bet you
didn't know how many people die each day did you?'
Yes, I did. Because I looked it up. YOU didn't know,
that's your problem.
And by the way, the number of deaths in the UK up to
this time is around 50 to 60 thousand more than the
average.

I bet he really does believe that no one else can
remember five words twenty minutes later. Because he
actually does find it hard.
And since, in his head, no one is as good as he is, it
must be impossible for us regular idiots to remember
five words after 20 minutes.

Just so unbelievable.
