Trump could murder someone in cold blood on tv, while smoking a joint with the paper made from pieces of the Constitution, and the Trumphards would just make excuses and still support him. I honestly think there's some sort of brainwashing going on, because I know plenty of people that I thought had common sense....until Trump ran for office. Unfortunately, some are family members. One of them even proudly walks around wearing Trump 2020 gear. And you can't discuss politics rationally with a few of them. Though I do have one relative who admits Trump is an ass...but plans on voting for him again.
The right-wingers are hardcore idiots. I've got a Fire HD 8, and was browsing the sales yesterday. One book was called "Worst President Ever", and was about Obama. The reviews were all either 1 star (people with actual sense) or 5 stars (conservatives).
First of all, when it comes to worst Presidents, I'm pretty sure Buchanan is at the top of the heap, followed by Harding and Andrew Johnson. Buchanan refused to take actions that could have delayed, if not prevented, the Civil War. Some of Harding's policies contributed to the Great Depression.

Brian F. - Great choices for terrible presidents. I'd add Nixon, of course. But #1 is still the Trumpster.

Eric, Trump is top 5, for sure. But unless he gets us into a war, or his actions as President lead to one after he's out of office, he's not quite #1 yet. Though him getting rid of the pandemic emergency response team and then denying he did isn't exactly going to help his image.

Brian F. - I lived through Nixon, and through W. as well. I know of Buchanan, Harding, A. Johnson, and a few more.
Considering how Trump has consistently lied, endeavored to favor his own fortunes, employed his own filth, damn near starting a war with Iran (and committing blatant and stupid acts of war) - well, I'd need to be well convinced that he is not the worst. YMMV, of course.

I can't express how much disdain I have for Trump - but what makes things WORSE is when the media wants to laud praise on him for being “presidential” when he “changes his tone”.

NBC Reporter Peter Alexander tossed Trump a basic softball question about how to reassure anxious Americans, and he replies with "You're a terrible reporter. That's a nasty question."
He had chance to say something comforting to the nation, & HE COULDN'T. He's incapable of empathy & basic compassion.
