But having taxpayers pay for that wall is so much better?
Yes, it's a whole lot better and more importantly is authorized under the Article 1 of the Constitution. The Supreme Ct also has held that regulating immigration is solely a Federal issue. The Illegal Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act and Homeland Security Acts both recently authorized more control over the borders to the Federal Govt. You may not agree with the means used, but it's one of the inherent responsibilities of the Federal Government and the Executive branch specifically. Funding the Special Olympics is not.
This country has more important things to pay for, like a billionaire's weekly vacation travel to play golf in Florida.
I have no problem when a President goes home, plays golf, or gets away from the job for a few days. That goes for Obama or Trump. I'm sure you were as outraged by Obama's vacations as well.

I was mostly angry that taxpayers weren't paying greens fees and cart rentals straight into the president's pocket. Fortunately Trump solved that little problem.

If true, it's probably required by law. I'm also sure Trump donating his salary back to the Federal government will cover those costs anyway.

Billion for a wall, nothing for kids with disabilities.
Hate is more important than kindness.
And the wall won't even do anything significant to solve the problem. It's just President Trump trying to fulfill his campaign promise.
Except Mexico was supposed to pay for it.

I've done enough research in this thread for you David. I don't care enough about a throwaway argument like this to waste anymore of my time. You'd just move on to something else anyway.

A wall is not needed. Mexico isn't invading America. This is just racist rhetoric.
Besides, if anyone should have an issue with immigrants / illegals in America it is the indigenous population that were slaughtered and scattered by the ancestors of the current incumbents.
While he wastes time on petty things and Twitter, Trump's old pal Vlad has mobilised his army to a country in South America for whatever reason. Trump can't even put his eye on the ball let alone keep his eye on it.
Help us all if he is faced with a major crisis.

Putin hasn't mobilized an army to Venezuela, they're just fulfilling contracts signed years ago there - same as the U.S., and the UK, does all the time.

LONG OVERDUE...
Rep. Adam Schiff, Chair of the House Intelligence Committee, called out GOP on their dishonesty and corruption right to their faces!!! Why? Nine Republicans on the committee called for his resignation in a shameful act of putting PARTY over COUNTRY. (No one should resign when the full Mueller report hasn't been made public.)
Schiff's response was awesome... no matter what party you are affiliated with, his speech should resonant on how this country's been effected in the last few years morally. Rep. Schiff listed each and every act by Trump and his team that unquestionably appears as collusion, corrupt behavior that clearly needed to be investigated. Change ANY of those names to a democrat and see how quickly this GOP would've called to lock them up.
“It’s not OK” should become the battle cry for Dems headed to 2020.
-C!
