Was ‘Roseanne’ cancelled? I thought she was written off the show and it became ‘The Conners’.
Smollett has been booted from Empire and rightfully so.

Roseanne : I pretty sure they canceled the show as

Yes, Roseanne was cancelled. Then ABC decided to see if the show could go on without her and we ended up with The Conners.
As for Smollett, when the "he planned the whole thing" rumor started and he denied it, the show supported him. (Hence "will not be written out" on the 20th.) When the rumor was deemed credible by the police and Smollett was arrested on the 21st, he got dropped from the final episodes of the current season. (Hence "won't be on final episodes" on the 22nd.) From there it will likely depend on how the case turns out. If he's found guilty, pleads out, etc., he's probably off the show permanently.
If you want to complain about the difference between the amount of time it took Roseanne to get dropped vice Smollett, we knew from the beginning that Roseanne had sent the tweet. Smollett's actions (assuming he did plan the whole thing) took longer to fully come to light.

I’m done with him. I was debating on whether to add him to my ignore list or not, but now that I see he can’t be bothered with actual news and relies on conservative memes for his news and information, I think the choice is clear.
