Definitely not the Washington (Moonie) Times...

https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/The_Washington_Times

It's a real minefield with 'newspapers', you have to know the real long-standing high quality names over the National Enquirers and so on. So many slanted but straight seeming on the surface, making sure people get news they want to hear and don't get the rest of the story.

The Washington Post and The New York Times have earned respect and recognition... various other Washington and New York papers... alternate realities as often as not.

Trump Warns Evangelicals of "Violence" If Gop Loses In The Midterms

President Donald Trump, facing scrutiny for hush money payments to a porn star and a former Playboy model, pleaded with evangelical leaders for political help during closed-door remarks on Monday, warning of dire consequences to their congregations should Republicans lose in November's midterm elections.

"This November 6 election is very much a referendum on not only me, it's a referendum on your religion, it's a referendum on free speech and the First Amendment. It's a referendum on so much," Trump told the assemblage of pastors and other Christian leaders gathered in the State Dining Room, according to a recording from people in the room.

"It's not a question of like or dislike, it's a question that they will overturn everything that we've done and they will do it quickly and violently. And violently. There is violence," Trump said, describing what would happen should his voters fail to cast ballots. "The level of hatred, the level of anger is very unbelievable."

Just when I think he can't get any worse. . .

"You're one election away from losing everything that you've gotten," he added. "Little thing: Merry Christmas, right? You couldn't say 'Merry Christmas.' "

Right, we couldn't say Merry Christmas until Trump got elected...

This is just hilarious... and a bit wacky -- Trump says (without evidence, of course!) that Google has "rigged" searches against him!!

In fact, he's doubling down on it:

What is so absurd about this whole Google issue is the extent to which you don't understand the algorithms used. Things elevate in the search engines based on what people choose from searches. So, critical articles rise to the top, because that's what people choose to read most.

-C!

A president threatening violence if his party doesn't win the midterms... what could be less patriotic and I would hope less American or Christian too. This man just hit a new low which is genuinely shocking. Who else used the threat of violence in the streets after encouraging it to seize powers and suspend democracy? Trump and all connected with him will have to go, and whatever he may say in some scripted Presidential moment is meaningless and always has been, his real agenda and KGB pal are what is real. Even the greatest economy for those with stocks and offshore hidey-holes could not be worth this repugnant and vile attempt of intimidation of other Americans. Vote anything but what he says until that party cleans up their house.

Well, in fairness (yeah, even to him), he's not exactly threatening violence by his supporters if he loses, he's warning that his supporters will face violence, if he loses. They'll be violently oppressed by, y'know, liberals.

That, and the google complaints, all feed into his supporters ironic need to claim victimhood. Everyone is against them, the "mainstream media", the career politicians, even the internet, and the more he keeps "winning," the more they attack him. This rallies the supporters to continue supporting him because, don't you see? All the attacks must mean that he's doing something right!

Yes, the billionaire victim. He's not all that easy to read clearly other than how everything comes back to he and his base being the biggest victims. "So unfair".

Maybe he will leave and go where he's most appreciated. :^(

When people vote to reduce the number of politicians supporting this idiot it is an attack on evangelicals and your right to say, "Merry Christmas"?! A stretch in thinking to say the least. I can't bring myself to call it a stretch of logic. Or perhaps it is exactly the lack of thinking that drives a good deal of religion. I guess I will have to put my Ezekiel 13 front and center for these conversations.

Classic move for people with no clear vision. Continually point out and
convince others that there are enemies. Trump’s based his campaign
and entire presidency on it. All division and no attempts to unify. He still
continually talks of “us vs them”, when speaking of the American
people, as a country.

According to the upcoming Woodward book, many of his staff think
Trump lacks the intelligence, temperament, and moral fiber to be
President. Wow!

Even more shocking was that anonymous op-ed piece from a “senior
official” in Trump’s administration. I don’t think that has even been done
before.

I am still confused about all this. If he is so disliked by the Republicans, why not get rid of him? Although Pence is a scary individual, at least he would probably act Presidential. Or is Trump just too easily manipulated and is just a puppet for individual members, which is why they want to keep him around?

If the GOP worked to rid the country of this president they would not have their Supreme Court seats, their tax bill, etc. The amount of work it would take to dig this orange tick out of the office would not allow for much else.

How big an ego must you have to think that when you are out of office, newspapers & news channels will have nothing to talk about & thus go out of business?

Because there is NOTHING else going on in the world except you.

I am so far beyond frustration levels with this individual.
