After weeks of the White House denying reports that McMaster was out and being replaced by John Bolton, McMaster is out and being replaced by John Bolton. Accursed Fake News.

Trump's latest "win" - he signed a massive $1.3 trillion spending bill, hours after threatening a veto that would have triggered a government shutdown... because it authorizes tens of billions of dollars in additional military spending.
Now he can get back to planning a preemptive strike against North Korea with his new buddy John Bolton before the Mueller indictments come down.

Well, at least you're supposed to have this great Bastille Day inspired U.S. military parade to look forward to, right? I mean, geez, who doesn't love a parade? Flags, hats, turkeys to pet...

So, Trump declares April to be National Sexual Abuse Awareness Month. Is this an April Fools’ joke? Is this so we’ll all be aware of what a lecherous piece of shit he his?

On Sunday’s "Last Week Tonight", John Oliver opened with an update on his (chilling) report last year about Sinclair Broadcast Group, explaining how they've forced local news anchors to read propaganda scripts written by the company... here's a "super-cut" of those messages:
Now this is really creepy.

There is another possible reason that I have seen put forth. Back on December 2nd of last year a Tweet on Rump's account said, "I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI". There was more to the Tweet, but the problem is that the Tweet indicated Rump knew Flynn had lied to the FBI and he still went to Comey and told him to back off of the investigation. The very next day, Dowd claimed that he wrote that Tweet. It seems odd that a lawyer would go onto a client's Twitter account and make an incriminating statement like that, but Dowd claimed to have written the Tweet. At this point, we can assume he made this claim in order to prevent Rump from incriminating himself.
Now that Mueller is starting to call people to council he could very easily call Dowd to testify and put him into a very tight situation. If Dowd did not write the tweet and Mueller specifically asks him about it then Dowd has to either lie and say he did write it or he has to tell the truth and incriminate Rump. He would not be able to claim attorney-client privilege because he publicly stated he wrote the Tweet. So the easiest way to avoid being put between a rock and a hard place is to stop being Rump's lawyer. I'm sure there were points of disagreement for Dowd and his client, but this point could also be a reason why Dowd left.

In Oregon now, seems to be a lot of people upset about Trump attacking Amazon and stuff. Stocks losing value with some.

Among Trump's various flaws is a predilection for doubling down when things go wrong. The stock market clearly doesn't like his tariffs or the possibility of a trade war. Now that China has demonstrated it will respond in kind, things are likely only going to go one way (though we are seeing a big bounce on Wall Street this afternoon).
In terms of the Amazon criticism, I'm not so worried. He's criticised other individual companies by tweet before and it's resulted in a temporary blip in the share price and then everyone moves on, including Trump. If he wants to change the law regarding online retailers, he should just get on with it, rather than shouting about it on Twitter.

Lo and behold, Trump has now floated the idea of $100 billion more of tariffs against China and the Dow Jones is down close to 3%.

It might be amusing if 45's harassment is the catalyst that causes Amazon to finally develop their own delivery system internally instead of using the U.S. Postal Service. Especially if Amazon offers delivery of standard parcels to users too. Everyone knows how reliable the Post Office is*.... how happy would the USPS be if people started using AmazonMail (tm pending)?
*Actually, the USPS is pretty good, but we only hear the bad reports... and those can be really nasty. But who knows if Trump wants USPS shut down too? Maybe he WILL put the sloths in charge of it...
