Mike, let's take the the presidency since FDR. How long have Republican's been in power? How long have Democrats? I have little to no sympathy for anyone that cries "We had to fight against the liberal media" (a tag that I also don't buy) and yet have seen their party in power and affecting the kind of change they desire far more than their opposition. And yet you're now thinking or pursuing writing something to the effect that if there is a long-term succession of presidents who are liberal, that America will all-but-bend-over for a terrorist who killed thousands on our shores, not to mention run a school system that wants to tell you how to think in a world where the path less taken is to the right? Please. Spare me the absurd ideology.
BTW, I think it a ridiculous assumption on it's face that the UN and Kofi Anon would welcome anything that Bin Laden had to offer. You're showing your extreme right wing bias and agenda even tossing out that notion. |

Sadly, Yes. I don’t think it would be their intention, but it would be the result. Dove-ish politics does not work with terrorists. Negotiations are view by terrorist extremist, as weakness.
run a school system that wants to tell you how to think:
Liberal Extremism is becoming the way of life in education. The concept that you can not utter the word “God” in a school zone is testament to that. Again, independent polling has shown the vast majority of university professor have a liberal bias. I personally have suffered the lost of grades in college for daring to utter even moderate conservative views.

Your second comment is pretty insulting and just ignorant.
Your first comment? Well, it's interesting how Kofi Annan feels that the
UN needs a major reorganizing, especially its human rights commission
with Libya, Cuba the Sudan and other wonderful nations that protect
human rights.
The UN in a large way has lost a lot of its purpose. |

I'll give you this much.
It's insulting, that's the point, I'm tired of having my views immediately
disregarded as being "Liberal Propaganda" or "Bullsh*t."
It's just agrivating.

Can someone link to these Playgirl articles with the former EIC's words in
question? It would help to see them in context.

Rob, you old contrarian, you know her personally? You know she was joking? "Your experience" ... were you EIC of Playgirl as well? And give me a break with the whole oppressed Reoublican in New York bit. I live and work in New York and my office skews overwhelmingly to the Right. It's hardly a climate of fear. You speak before you think. If I were a magazine publisher and an editor institutes sweeping changes that completely change a magazine and it's so unsuccessful that sales drop tremendously, yeah I'd fire them too. Business sense.

May I point out that you yourself called this comic idea "bullsh*t."
Aww snaps, that was me.
Anyways, I'm just sick and tired of being surrounded by both individuals
and elected officials to arrogant to listen to other arguments.
I listen, I make decisions about thing based on that listening, I just want
the same in return.

Siding with the GOP when you live in the bluest state around is almost like wearing a Boston Red Sox jersey at a New York Yankees’ home game,” says Zipp in the April issue of PLAYGIRL. ”I cannot tell you how many times a person assumed I voted for John Kerry in 2004. Most of the time, I don’t have the heart to tell them, or the energy to discuss my reasons for going red this election year. But this is Playgirl magazine so it’s about time I was the one who bared what’s underneath.”
“The Democrats of the Sixties were all about making love and not war while a war-loving Republican is a man who would fight, bleed, sacrifice, and die for his country. Could you imagine what that very same man would do for his wife in the bedroom?” asks Zipp.

This whole us vs. them is such a line of shit. We all want what is best for this country and we have different ideas on how this should be done. Creating an enemy out of your fellow countrymen just because they feel differently about politics is shamefull. We are all human beings, and most of us on this board are American. To think we are different because of politics is akin to thinking we are different because of our race, sex, or nationality. It isn't true, and after thousands of years of civilization it is amazing that creatures such as ourselves that are so intelligent can't figure this out.

And yes, I agree End the Cold war and Freeing the USA from a USSR nuclear nightmare was expensive.

[QUOTE=Jacob P Secrest]
(Most) Democrats are good with money, (most) Republicans are bad with money (especially our current Prez), plain and simple. QUOTE]
There is a higher percentage of filings of bankruptcy in big cities, and most of these care chapter 7s. Most people in big cities are Democrats.
So the facts suggest you are just... wrong abiout this.
I doubt very much that there is a correlation between income and politics, but if there is, with the so-called "Big Business" GOP, I bet I know which way it goes.
