Well, Jacob, no, it's not morally ethical, but, see,
at least she isn't lying about it, like all the other cons.  So... you know,

repeating the party lie...  I guess.

No, she does repeat the party line on why Bush invaded Iraq
everytime she makes one of her scary tv appaerances on Faux News.

Of course the party line changes but that doesn't seem to bother her,
instead she blames democrats for the inconsistensies.

Am I the only one who thinks that Political Parties are the main problem with politics?  As a devout Independent, I hate the "our side must win at all costs" attitude.  It stops anything progressive from getting done because--gasp--someone else might get credit for it!!

I can't imagine anyone totally believes the "agenda" of either party.  We're all moderates to some extent.  Can we decide the name before the (D) or (R) should be what we vote for!

And don't get me started on those stupid, unconstitutional primaries!!  John McCain should be president right now!!

(Okay, now I'm ranting.)

But, is it morally ethical to invade your next door neighbor if you're out of
sugar? IMHO the best thing to do is to research fuel alternatives.

The only practical replacement for oil is nuclear, and that is a no starter because of forty years of scare tactics and FUD.  So we need oil.

The idea that we invaded to 'take Iraq's oil' is a bit nutty.  Not denying that oil played a major role in that decision... but in the sense of trying to build some long term stability in the region, and ensure a constant supply of it.  The goal is not to steal oil... but to ensure that we can continue to buy an adequate supply of it.

Whether the area will actually be more stable after what we've done is up in the air.  Right now it isn't... but the important question is what will be happening ten years from now.

And, in general, I have no ethical qualms about overthrowing sleazy, tyrannical despots anywhere in the world.  Just practical qualms.

I just want to thank Mike and Jacob for making Ann Coulter appear intelligent. Agree or disagree with her opinions, at least she can spell and understands word usage.

I'm sick of these topics. Same people arguing the same points over and over. Time for a refreshing, new topic. Hey, anybody like Star Wars?

Oh, you got me with that one.  I guess she's not a lying nut-job because.... what?  She uses spell-check before she publishes her rants, and I don't before I post on an internet message board?  You're a buffoon that's not fit to wipe my ass.  Did I use those words correctly?

Oh, and your little opinion of Star Wars stinks on ice, too!

Thus, the level of discourse sinks to personal attacks. Typical. Look, Mike, if you want to discuss issues, it doesn't help you make your case if your message reads like an idiot wrote it. Spare me the name-calling. I expect more from a grown-up.

Ha ha!!  What a jack-ass!  How do you sleep at night?  Look two posts up... and... you're taking a poke at me.  I reply, and I'm the bad guy?  What a maroon!  Yeah, you just keep drinking the Kool-Aid (actually!  The Jonesville folk drank Fla-Vor Aid, but I guess Kool-Aid sounds funnier!) and believing what FOX News tells you, you nut!

In the post you referred to I'm talking about the inability (apparently) of either yourself of Jacob to make your point without editing yourselves. And, so far, I haven't resulted to calling anyone names. I even offered up Star Wars as a point of humor. Oh well.

I don't know why I bother. We obviously don't agree on many things, Mike. Keep your head in the sand, guy.

Wait...wait... upon re-reading your post...

"We don't agree on many things"...???  What DO we agree on?  (Besides our love?)  Well, JB, I guess, since we're both here... but what else?

Well, I'll make the peace offering - here's some issues where I fall in line with Cons -

I'm ALL for the second amendment.

I care two bits about environmental issues.

I love meat!

How about you - any Lib issues you side with?

I'm not real crazy about the way President Bush has spent money hand over fist. The way I see it, I have to live on a budget, so should the government.

I'd trade a stealth bomber or two for improved health care. Not the whole fleet, mind you, just a couple.

There's probably more, but since it's 2:00 AM here, brain's a bit tired.

Peace?
