Brilliant piece! I'd rate this as right up there as one of your best FF drawings.

I like that his right arm, while stretched, is still muscular and not all thin and dangly like most stretching heroes are drawn.Kirby did this, draw a stretching Reed Richards that still looks muscular and powerful, and not many continued that after him.•• Looking at the first two dozen or so issues of FF, we can see Kirby figuring out the best ways to show Reed's power. Very quickly he realized it was not a good idea to have Reed stretching his neck, for instance. That's more of a Plastic Man schtick. But what Kirby also figured out was that Reed's stretching limbs should not be articulated -- no elbows and knees -- at least, not once he's gone beyond a certain point. In this drawing, I have Reed's right arm stretching about as far as it can an still have clear indications of muscle and bone. His left arm, tho, is the more familiar "tube" effect.

Excellent!
Whatever misfired in realizing the commission request still produced a terrific Thing! He's definitely not Fozzie. Quite monstrous, intimidating.

It's funny as I have no problem with seeing Plastic Man or Elongated Man stretching their necks, and I've seen great drawings with Elongated Man stretching but bending at the elbows and knees...
But, with Reed such depictions just seem off. Maybe it is because of the more serious nature of his personality, and his stretching shouldn't compromise the dignity of the character.

Like suddenly seeing four old friends, who haven't aged a day.
This commission is indicative of how I always remember "my" Fantastic Four.
