Okay, let's see -- I'm looking at DC's titles right now.

I've never read the new Firestorm. Who's Dan Jolley, and has he written
the book since the beginning? I see he's also writing Bloodhound, which
I've never looked at.

Who's this John Arcudi who writes Aquaman and how long as he been on
it?

Who's this Marc Andreyko on Manhunter?

Or Andersen Gabrych on Batgirl?

Or Ivan Velez Jr. on Powerpuff Girls... Ivan is the Slavic iteration of the
name that in English is John. I can't find the meaning of the surname
Velez, but doesn't Byrne mean "stream" and if so, does "Velez?"

AJ Lieberman is an interesting possibility. That writer hasn't done the obligatory happy-talk interviews on Newsramacon. Usually young writers with big assignments do what they can to get their name out there.

In truth, John Byrne is a psuedonym used by
a collective of British writers and artists, who have been decieving comic
book fandom for years. The "John Byrne" that attends conventions, and
poses for pictures with fans who purchase original art, is an actor hired to
maintain the illusion. All posters who have claimed to meet the "Real"
John Byrne have just met the actor, who when not making "John Byrne"
appearances spends his time auditioning for off-broadway plays. "John
Byrne's" recent decision to stop attending conventions was due to the
actor's desire to seperate himself from the "Byrne" persona he has been
playing off and on for 25+ years.

...

I can't believe I just wrote that. And somewhere out there, someone will
believe it.

And Paul McCartney died in 1966 and was replaced by a look-alike.

John Arcudi's written Gen 13. and Major Bummer several years back. Mark Adeykro wrote Torso with Bendis for Image several years back.

John Arcudi has a long career in comics, and has credits writing for Image, which immediately negates any idea that he is secretly John Byrne.

Dan Jolley is a regular on his own message board. JB's not twisted enough to run another fanboard , or is he .... ?

Arcudi worked for Marvel not long ago.

I've read Marc Andreyko's posts on GJ.com . Certainly not JB's style or outlook.

Andersen Gabrych just started on Batgirl.

So if JB is serious, it's likely he's this A.J. Leiberman or Ivan Velez Jr.
(Slavic first name, Hispanic-sounding surname. Hmm.)

Dan Jolley for a long time was Tony Harris's write-hand man, writing JSA Liberty Files, Lazerous 5, Oberghiest, etc before getting a lot of work now on his own, such as Voltron and Filestorm.

Arcudi been around all the way back to this character called "The Mask" at Dark Horse.

Gabrych has been writing Detective and just recentally switched to Batgirl - thus not fitting the "year" run needed.

...Probably not this Ivan Velez, Jr., either -- he's done work for Prism
Comics and "Venom: Sign of the Boss" in '97.

He also wrote the volume of DP that was published prior to JB's.  I doubt JB would ghostwrite his baby, it get canceled and then write it again under his own name.  Cross out Arcudi!

Hmmm...that would be interesting. If so then JB is the writer who has let the readers know that "Hush" is indeed not who he appeared to be. That in itself is a bit JB-ish.

What about the regurgitated KILLING JOKE references?

I don't think so...
