Call my sense of humor twisted, but I think it would be funny if JB let us hang on this one and never revealed anything to us!

Maybe so Eric, but it is a fun game to play. And I have looked
pretty hard at the other DCU books for the first time in a long time.

I think that this is a possiblity, though it could start to have a
negative effect on the suspected writers. They might resent it.
(Sorry AJ)
Todd
plus it will all blow over in a week, unless the guys at DELETED TEXT pick it up.

Right, this is getting way too weird.
JB, can you please put a stop to this nonsense?!
Enough with the gleeful cackling...

Todd, you have a really good case. Who better to invent and act out a persona than a professional writer?

I will go on the record with my guess, (at the risk of being wrong and humiliated) and say that it is AJ Lieberman.
Here is why- (remember if this is wrong just ignore it)
AJ's first DC work (as far as I can tell) was a run on Harley Quinn from issue 26 (nov 2002) through 38 when the series ended. In the first issue, the writer called Harley, Harlene.. well read this from another site

I know nothing about AJL, Gotham Knights and have never read Harley Quinn. In fact practically the only thing I do know about HQ is that JB once expressed a strong desire to take on that book.

Yeah. They might never get over the experience of having actual fans.

I don't agree with Eric - I think it is really happening. I just hope
that someone at DC has been tracking the fan reaction/
comments to the title prior to when JB is revealed. My bet is
that there are people who have been praising the title who are
also self described Byrne bashers.
This is contingent on it being a hero title. I am hoping it's
POWERPUFF GIRLS or LOONEY TOONS. Do those titles carry
the DC label or are they on an imprint?
And if it is never revealed? That would be pretty funny.

What you're all forgetting is that pen names are always, always, always an anagram of the artist's real name.
So, someone go find the DC book that's currently being written by either Jenny Bohr or Benjy Horn, and we'll call it a night.

Really? Try arranging the letters of "Samuel Clemens" to get "Mark Twain".

Like Richard Bachman is an anagram for Stephen King, for instance.
(I know, you're kidding. So am I. No need for bunched panties.)
I'm with Eric -- the fact that JB said "reveal" in quotes suggest he's
kidding.
