Really nice piece JB. I love the weathered look to the background.

Straight edge?
Perspective grid?
Free hand?

What process do you use to get such a cool look?

Am enjoying the "letter" commissions. Like the way Captain Cold is looking.

By the way, anybody else notice how much Captain Boomerang,
modeled here exactly on Carmine Infantino's version, looks
like James May (TOP GEAR)?

+++++
Well, James May *could* be a Flash villain, since his
nickname is Captain Slow.....

I feel like January has been a pretty busy month for commissions and they look great! Not sure what's going on, but I can't complain.

The 'sequel' to this one would be their reaction when they round the corner and see Wolverine...

Have them email me, JB, I'll talk them into the whole alphabet!

I grew up a Marvel Guy so I wasn't aware of these characters until I finally started reading SHOWCASE PRESENTS: THE FLASH volumes.  Highly recommended.  FLASH is one of those series that defines the Silver Age at DC (for good and bad).  Must reading for comics and superhero fans!

I think it's pretty much a testament to JB that I'm loving this piece and I don't even know who the characters are. I think I might have to check out the SHOWCASE PRESENTS: THE FLASH that Joe suggests. When it comes to DC, if it doesn't involve Superman, Batman, or Jack Kirby I know next to nothing.

Either way, this is a really great piece.

Benny, just remember, DC's Silver Age is very different than Marvel's Silver Age!  I love them both but they're like ice cream and steak.  Both can be wonderful but they are very different on the palate!
