Thanks for the tip, Brian. I have no agenda for SDCC. I just want to see
the madness that is this show and maybe meet an artist or two I haven't
met yet. (Which is a small list)

HeroesCon was a blast. This is the 2nd year of having more space (Hall A and B) with better seating  and a dedicated cosplay space. Even with all the extra space it's still 60% or more artists alley. Lots and lots of comics for sale.  I wound up with sketches from McKone, Lyle, Broderrick, Peterson, and Watcher. Oh and a Tim Vigil Iron Man.

I might have to check out Capital City Comic Con in Austin since it's local. I'll be going to SDCC since I was lucky enough to get tickets this year. Looking forward to that trip. It's always nice to go to San Diego. I had a great time at the Phoenix Comicon a couple weeks ago. It happened to coincide with the weekend I helped my daughter drive out to Phoenix for her summer internship. I think I need to bring her to more cons with me. We got close-in street parking for free every day we went, and virtually no line when I had Nathan Fillion sign my Firefly poster.

If this is Paul's rest from conventions, I'd hate to see what it's like when he's actively going!  ;-)

Ha. Last year I did eleven cons. This year looks like five. Baby steps.

Heads up to Star Trek fans....

Nashville Wizard World has just about the entire Next Generation cast on it's guest list... And no other than the man who helped start it all....Captain Kirk (Friday only).

As for artists- you have Neal Adams, Michael Golden and Kevin Maguire

The Convention Center is right in the heart of Dowtown Nashville a block or two from the Ryman Auditorium with lots of cool foodies style restaurants that will make a lot of wives happy. You can walk to Farm House (yum) and the other good restaurants / bars are in the area called the Gultch and 12th Avenue South (non tourists traps).

I'll be there! Anyone else planning to attend this convention?

This public announcement is brought to you by the Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau ; )

I missed the Jersey Shore Comic Con today due to a funeral,
but I am really looking forward to Baltimore.
