Re: Ronin:

I would guess the book includes the whole story.

Rumor has it that Frank still has issues 2-6 complete, and a dealer sold pages from issue 1 through his website several years back, so a bulk of the scans from that issue would likely be able to be obtained from him.

Looks like it's a complete edition, the solicitation copy for Ronin:

FRANK MILLER’S RONIN GALLERY EDITION HC
Written by FRANK MILLER
Art and cover by FRANK MILLER
Advance solicit • On sale DECEMBER • 328 pg, FC
13” x 20” • $195.00 US
Graphitti Designs proudly presents FRANK MILLER’S RONIN GALLERY EDITION, featuring the story and art by Frank Miller that forever changed the world of graphic storytelling. Miller’s evolutionary stepping-stone between Daredevil and BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS comes alive in this oversize format that it so richly deserves. This is the content that the Gallery Edition format was made for.
Graphitti Designs’ Gallery Editions replicate the look, feel and attitude of the artwork. Every page is reproduced at original-size on heavy paper stock to provide fans and collectors with museum-quality reproductions that are obtainable nowhere else. FRANK MILLER’S RONIN features Miller’s art as you’ve never seen it before, scanned from the original art. This all-inclusive volume contains the covers, interior pages and gatefolds from RONIN #1-6, first published more than thirty years ago. The power and innovation of Miller’s artwork shine through for all to see in this actual-size presentation of this pivotal work. Brilliant.

I guess my memory is pretty hazy, I didn't remember the story talking up that many pages. Its been awhile since I've read it. I need to dig it up out of storage. And for the neophytes such as myself, what does the "FC" stand for?

FC = Full Color, usually.

Yep, the art boards maybe black and white but the scans and book
pages are full color.

IDW is set to have their Artist Edition panel today at around 4-4:30
pacific time. As soon as I find info on up coming releases I post here.
They usually are pretty good about what's coming for the next year.
However I've noticed that they like to throw a surprise in the solicits
from time to time. The ENEMY ACE edition I just found out about last
week, and didn't know about the Will Eisner SPIRIT Vol.2 until I picked
up a copy of PREVIEWS last month.

Each issue of Ronin was 48 pages, right?  Add in front and back covers and the page count's up to 300 already, and once you've got a few text pages and any promotional art or sketches, it's not much of a leap to 328.

$195?  Ouch.  Think the most expensive IDW one has been the Steranko.

I will have to think this one over and see what is in it first.

Well, IDW has had there panel and they announced two new Artist
Editions.
First Up is more JACK KIRBY goodness as they will be leasing a
MISTER MIRACLE AE. This is collecting seven issues worth of Kirby's
book.

The next up made me smile and absolutely deserves the volume in
the format. Eric Powell's THE GOON: CHINATOWN Artist Edition.
Powell is definitely one of the nice guys in comics. His art, while a little
disturbing sometimes, is beautiful.

Well, despite saying that I was going to have to be more selective with
this series, I know I'm getting at least five in the next year.

Mister Miracle?  Wow!  Much as I love the New Gods, Mister Miracle's my favorite of the Fourth World books.  So cool.

SHIELD and Hellboy just arrived. So that's my weekend sorted.

For those interested, Forbidden Planet (.co.uk) has Ronin on special offer with
40% off until 6th August. Obviously those abroad would have to factor in
postage, but it might be worth it...

========
That's $117 U.S. Much easier to absorb, even with shipping. Thanks
Chris.
