The month of June brings the end of school and the beginning of the dreaded dance recital season.  Over two weekends, my kids, mostly daughter number two, dance in (this year's count) 16 shows for their studio.  Last weekend was the first 5 shows, next weekend will be the remaining 11.  It is my honor and privilege to dance with her in the finale of every show, the daddy/daughter number. A few pics from last weekend:

This past weekend I went to my brother-in-law's house in St. Thomas (just outside London Ontario)
He needed a hand clearing some dead standing trees on his property.
Back in '91 I did lumberjacking for the whole summer
(with my other brother-in-law -my sister's husband)

With chainsaw in hand we opened a path down into the ravine behind his backyard. The plan is to build steps and a deck down there for fishing in the creek. (Maybe by next year)
