Happy as I am to see Triple Helix on the way, all I really want now is Theo... I used to be a doorman. It can be extremely exciting work. Kind of.

"There are a million stories in the naked city, and Theo Maisin stands at the threshold to them all...!"

Awesome! That is a cool logo and I like the red better then the yellow on the center character. Will the colors for the logo always be three different shades with the x being solid and was that your idea or did O'Grady come up with that? I think it would be cool to see it go through  the different spectrums of colors.

I've really enjoyed all of the IDW projects by John, but I gotta say, I have a real soft spot for Byrne-created superhero work.  It was the Byrne FF that reigned supreme as my favorite title for years back in the day, rivaled only by the Wolfman/Perez Titans book.  Can't wait for Triple Helix, and anything else that's in the Byrne pipeline.

I love those suits. Feels like the Silver Age Green Lantern in terms of clean, smart lines.

••

Gil Kane was one of the best costume designers in the Biz. Unlike so many current artists, he understood that form and function should merge, and his designs almost always followed the natural contours of the body,

This was something that struck me immediately, looking at the costume design in the BIRDMAN movie threat. The suit looks bulky, cumbersome, heavy, and is, of course, festooned with superflous detail and gewgaws. Other than the big wings on the back, there is nothing about it that says "flying character".

I remember when Christopher Priest mistakenly credited you as Iron
Fist's creator. I can kinda see how that could happen though - Iron
Fist's costume was designed by Kane, but it does look like something
you would have come up with, yourself.

DANGER UNLIMTED should run as a 5 page back-up story in all the Byrne IDW books through out a year -- then collect them as a special edition after the story is all told.
