Wow, thanks for the heads up. I'll definitely have a spot for this on my
bookshelves.

Loved his work on "Atari Force"- my first introduction to him.  Then he did some issues of "The New Teen Titans" and I loved him more.

Was there a reason why Lopez was not assigned to one of the regular SUPERMAN titles? The occasional issues he did really stood out.

Lopez must be the most well-known-yet-not-known artist in comics. His character treatments for DC must be on every piece of merchandise.

The Superman vs. Wonder Woman is an excellent work!

The only reason Garcia-Lopez isn't more well known is simply because he hasn't done all that many interiors. I suppose commercial and licensed art still pays better. I understand why he'd choose that route, but, damn, I'd have loved if he'd done an extended run on Superman or Batman!

The art on Twilight was absolutely beautiful. Garcia-Lopez is a master. Weird DC stuck him on stuff like Atari Force and Twilight though.

TWILIGHT as a story was an abomination.

But the art was so gorgeous I even bought a page. It's one of the two Garcia-Lopez pieces I have on my Studio walls.

••

I'm told he doesn't particularly enjoy doing superheroes.

"I'm told he doesn't particularly enjoy doing superheroes."

That's a pretty cruel irony when you look at his superhero work.
